Too often I find myself talking to a sales guy with all the promises. But then the actual work is done by a contractor that is not up to par. So I prefer to talk to and deal with the person that's actually doing the work.
Found Mandarin Heating and Cooling on kijiji with good prices. Confirmed that reviews on Homestars look good. Then contacted Brian to replace an old furnace at my parents' house. The furnace is a 2-stage variable speed DC motor. When the second stage kicks in, it gets a little loud. That just how the furnace works, nothing wrong with the installation. To help address the noise, Brian came and adjusted the furnace to run always in the first stage, which is fine for a small house.
Very satisfied with the install that called him up again to replace the aging furnace at my own house.
Install completes within the day and all the paperwork submitted and 3 months later government rebate cheque arrives.
Brian is knowledgeable and readily available to address questions and concerns.
