I have bought a dryer from Markham TV & appliances. It is a fair price. When I first use the dryer. It created a very loud noise and burning smell. I call Whirlpool to check the dryer. They found out the dryer is demaged. Since the invoice has a note that 7 days exchange in original condition. I call the store immediately and request exchange. The salesman pass me to his boss. His boss said that he could no exchange unless Whirlpool ask them to do it. So, I ask the sales manager what was the meaning of 7 days exchange. He said that the 7 days exchange policy only apply to scratch on the item but not broken unit. I agrue with the sales manager. His only suggestion was call whirlpool and ask for replacement. He refuse to replace no matter it is less than 7 days. When you purchase a appliance, make sure to ask the store what is the exchange policy when the unit is Dead on arrival. Right now, I have a broken dryer sitting in my basement waiting for Whirlpool come and fixed. However, whirlpool do not have the parts. I have to wait at least 3 weeks for parts. Whirlpool refuse to discuss any other option with me until I have wait for 3 weeks. Then they will open the case again and discuss what they are going to do.
