Gta Star Moving

We hired GTA Star moving to relocate us to our new home in December 2011. The team they sent were extremely friendly, caring and efficient with the entire move. They packed our belongings and returned everything to the correct room in the new house to make our transition as easy as possible. The move took them longer than planned, but the team remained positive and motivated until the job was completed. I would hire them again for our next move and highly recommend their services!

I've finally settled into my new home and I just wanted moving was a very stressful time BUT your movers made it all the more easier! They were truly really nice, courtious and very polite! Very professional and nothing was damaged! Sorry for not emailing you earlier, things were a little hectic!

It was a pleasure having GTA STAR move us in early May. I have never had a move go as smooth and effortless as the one with your staff. I have no hesitation recommending you or your company, as I have already to two prospective customers

It was a very stressful time for our family just after we sold our home in Richmond Hill because my husband had been in the hospital for well over a month and no doctor could determine the cause of his illness. My husband was definitely unable to assist me, and I was unable to speak to him about any sort of future plans.

We had a deadline of our house offer closing on July 7th and the only definite was knowing we had to be out by that date. Before his illness, we had planned on moving to the cottage. These plans were replaced with several others due to the uncertainty of my husbands ill health.

Throughout this process, I found Don very helpful and understanding of our situation. He would make reminder calls, visits to see how everything was "progressing", he accommodated changing delivery plans and dates, made helpful suggestions, and personally dropped off boxes or packaging directly to the house.

In the end, there must have been a guardian angel watching over us because, everything fell into place as my husband recovered and we now live happily in Peterborough.

Words seem trite in expressing my appreciation for the service provided by a very caring individual, who represented his firm in the best possible way, under less than desired circumstances.

The move went very well and I was very pleased with the service I received from GTA Moving. The whole experience, starting with the accuracy of the quote, the on-time arrival of the movers and unloading the truck, was very positive. I would recommend GTA STAR services to my friends.

If you are looking for a horrible moving company these are the guys to call. The sent 3 young kids to move my furniture to a storage unit. Firstly they arrived 2 1/2 hours late without an apology or the wardrobe boxes we requested. They took over 9 hrs to move 10 pieces of furniture and about 10 boxes. The managed to dent and scratch every single piece of furniture they moved. They stacked furniture on top of my leather couches destroyed my entertainment unit to name a few. When it came to pay he wanted payment from the time they were suppose to start(8am when they showed up at 10am) on top they wanted 1hr travel time to and from my house. They took an 1 1/2 for break which I had to pay for. When I spoke to the owner about my disatisfaction, not once did he apologize. Instead he gave me excuses like they were new on the job, that he gave them an opportunity to work, they had a late move the night before.
My pregant wife called to complain and the owner hung up on her. These guys are not only the worst movers around but the worst business owners too!

We were quoted a price and provided a written contract that guaranteed that price within 10%. Once we moved, they overcharged $150 and tried to claim that we had added stuff to the move and claimed we previously said that there were items we didn't know if we were taking (like our brand new piano we had just purchased and made very clear that we were taking).

There were MULTIPLE damages (leather couch, piano, numerous walls, hardwood floor, etc). When we tried to ask how to file a claim they denied causing any of the damage and their investigation entailed simply asking the 3 young guys who moved our items, who of course denied it. They did not even view the damages, ask for photos, and continued to deny it, even though we had another company who could verify the condition of the piano prior to the move.

They were completely unprepared for the move and did not even use a ramp for the $4000 piano they previously claimed they were experienced in moving, which, in my opinion, was clearly not the case.

We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and they failed to respond to all notices the BBB sent them. Since then, they have failed to respond to any of my attempts to communicate with them.

Furthermore,, the web address listed on the back of the contract for filing claims belonged to a completely different company, who has NO affiliation whatsoever with GTA Starr. This company was very concerned that GTA was using their name, and have since had their lawyers involved!

This is the absolute WORST company we have EVER dealt with and they were incredibly unprofessional!!!

Had this moving company do 2 moves, from our house into storage and storage into our new house. They also were hired to pack our kitchen and dining room. The move was ok. However, when unpacking, I found that there were 4 items that were broken and one item that was missing. I called to speak to Don and was told to speak to the owner Matt. He never called back. I called again and told them that I had called and never received a call back. Matt did call me and told me he would look into it. I never heard back from him. I saved his contact information in my phone and called him this morning. When he answered he told me I got the wrong number. When I called back after he hung up on me, his voicemail said his name and that he was from GTA star. He was obviously not telling the truth! Do not use this company. The movers were very nice but the owner is not honest and I would not trust a company who has an owner like that.

First they were over an hour late getting to my condominium to start the move. I live in a 720 square foot condo and had some boxes a desk and two shelves in a seperate storage area - it took this move over 6 hours with 3 guys. I don't believe this should have taken this long. Additionally at the end we were pushed to pay cash even though the original quote indicated they accepted visa. Furthermore, the original quote also did not mention ANYWHERE that it was subject to GST - our understanding is that it was included in the rate. Additionally they banged up a shelf unit and one of my dressers as well scraped the wall going into my new basement pretty good. I will never use this company again, I have had far more successful moves with no issue by hiring two guys and a truck out of the classified's!!
