Coretemp Heating and Air

I chose Coretemp partly because of the great reviews here, although I had several others come and give me a quote. Richard & Janice were great to deal with - especially very quick communications. (Communications with tradesmen is a pet peeve - some just don't want to answer or call back, let alone show up when promised!) The installation went very smoothly, exactly as promised, on schedule, and neat. The equipment is still new of course, but we have had a chance to use both a/c and heat and we're very happy with the product as well as the installation and service.

Richard was outstanding to work with. We were completely renovating an older duplex and had to complete the work in several stages. Richard assisted us in selecting HVAC and tank less hot water heaters. His quotes were considerable better than anyone else’s and the quality of work was excellent. Had our A/C serviced by Richard. He was very prompt at responding to my request for an appointment and was able to fit us in within a week. He arrived on time and provided a thorough servicing of the older A/C unit. We appreciated that he did not push us to buy a new model but serviced it to ensure we have several more years of use out of it. We will definitely call Richard for any future repair or servicing.

I called Coretemp on a hot day when the fan died on my old furnace recently and they were at my place within the hour. With my furnace being the original Lennox from 1978 we decided it was time for a new one. Rich gave me a couple of options for a new Lennox at decent prices so I arranged to have him do the installation. They showed up exactly when they said they would and did an awesome job. Super friendly, fast efficient service! I will continue to have Coretemp look after my HVAC going forward and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Our furnace failed during last winter and based on Home Stars rating and reviews, we called Richard in the morning who said he couldn't come immediately and referred me to another contractor who also was tied up. Richard then rearranged his schedule and arrived later the same day, determined the problem and showed me how to manually start the furnace to get by for a day or two. He discussed the options and quoted me on a new furnace and I asked him to proceed. He was back 2 days later and did an excellent installation and we have enjoyed the new furnace and the new features. Richard's price may not have been the cheapest, but he was professional, honest, very helpful in showing me how to get the old furnace started manually until a new one could be installed and even recommended another contractor to try to see if they could service us earlier.
I highly recommend Richard and will use him again for any heating or air conditioning work.

Richard replaced our dead A/C unit last year (previous review). The Lennox unit he installed has worked flawlessly and the adjustment he made to the furnace greatly improved airflow in our home. Richard recently attended our house to perform our annual spring maintenance. Appointment was for 10:30 - 11:30 and he arrived at 10:29. In the dealings we had with Richard between last year and this one, he is always there when he says he will be. The maintenance check adds that peace of mind that our unit is ready for another smoking hot season! Well worth the price to have the maintenance done. We still recommend Richard and Coretemp above any other HVAC companies.

My air conditioning died this week. I called Richard, who had installed my furnace and repaired the air conditioning last year. He came promptly, diagnosed the death of the air conditioner and was able to replace it within a couple of days despite it being a very busy time of year. Each time I have called Richard (my furnace abruptly quit on a January day) he has been responsive, reliable and lovely to deal with. His assistant Eric is also lovely. All in all a great experience.

Core Temp installed our A/C 2 years ago and did a great job so when we started having problems with the unit this year we did not hesitate to call them back. Richard was very professional and on time (fitting us in among his other appointments so that our A/C could be looked at right away).

Richard and his team were very courteous and explained our options as he narrowed into the source of the problem. In the end the issue was a result of another service company's shoddy work (and potentially fraudulent behavior).

We were very pleased and thankful to Core Temp for finding the source of the problem so quickly and for providing us with guidance on how to maintain the unit going forward.

We'll definitely use Core Temp again for our future service needs.

Our water tank was on it's way out, so we called Coretemp to get a new Rinnai RU98i tankless unit. Richard and his team did a great job with the install. They were on time, very courtious, friendly and kept the work area very clean. Richard's attention to detail is very apparent in his work - the way he setup the venting, the drain line, wall mounted the unit, insulated the openings - everything was done with great care, organization and cleanliness. (I can be very picky about these details, so I was very pleased). This is the second time we've dealt with Coretemp - they installed our furnace and AC last year - and would not hesitate to recommend them for any HVAC projects. Everything went super-smooth, we absolutely love the RU98i and we couldn't be happier! Thanks again, Richard!
