Sam The Handyman

I originally contacted Sam of Sam The Handyman to get an estimate on restoring a brickwork arch above a second-storey window. The quote was very reasonable, and they were able to return a few days later to perform the work. While up on the ladder, Sam noticed my 'torch down" flat roof had developed numerous, large wrinkles, and warned me that it would be prone to leak. We agreed to a price to repair it, and the work was done the following week. Sam and his crew completed both jobs quickly. However, it was later discovered by professionals that the brickwork had not been mortared properly, and the flashing above the window had been left open to the elements/wildlife. Also, the new membrane roof began leaking within a few months of installation - causing water damage to the rooms below. I would, therefore, not recommend Sam The Handyman.

We had a horrible leak that was getting worse. We called Sam and he came right over to assess. It didn't take him long to find the source of the leak and he provided photos to show us. After calling around to roofers (some who charged just to take a look while Sam did a free consult AND provided photos) we called him back. He came on a Sunday and fixed the problem. Smart, courteous, respectful and high energy. Have decided to expand the scope of work to include other projects as a result of his work. Not only was he the best price by a factor of ~5x but he actually had a ladder long enough to do the inspection.

A section of bricks at the front of my house was crumbling. Sam's quote was way below some other masons I contacted. He was very polite, and he completed the work in a timely manner. I am very happy with how it looks now, and I would definitely use Sam again in the future. Thanks!

Sam is amazing. Who's heard of a handyman who tries to undersell the customer? We had shingles falling off our roof and it turns out they're not made anymore. Sam found a very close match, fixed every problem area and did extra work around our skylight. He saved us more than $10K. If I could give more than 10 stars I would. We've since had him back to fix the masonry on our front stairs and with basement leak issues. I trust Sam 100%. He's knowledgeable, honest, fast and effective. Thank you!

Sam was amazing. Not only was he honest and up front, he was also very affordable. He is always ready and willing to answer all his customers concerns and requests. I will definately use him again.

Sam is a great guy to deal with. He is knowledgeable, courteous and punctual. He offers practical advice which results in cost savings as opposed to making the project bigger than it needs to be (as others who provide quotes on this job did).

The roof is great and I am confident will last for many years.
