built a wine cellar in the basement
We live in a old century home, with lots of nooks and crannies. we've been thinking about building out a wine cellar for years but couldn't find the right space. Les Zsampar from Handyman Matters figured it out for us - underneath the stairs going down to the basement. A tight space, with all the uneven walls and floors you would expect an old place to have. Les took this dusty old area and turned it into a real highlight of the house - custom wine racks, insulated cedar walls, perfect lighting, a custom door made from part of the existing old crawlspace door - and room for 750 bottles of wine. He completed it all on time, on budget and always left work area clean at the end of the day. Thanks Les - great job.
