Hello RN,
I’d like to take a minute of your time and addressed the issues mentioned in your communication.
a) A has been a common rule in the moving business since its foundation that the customer is making sure the moving truck is able to be parked at both locations: pickup and drop off. Though we understand it is sometimes impossible meet this request and not park illegally, we still do not feel responsible for any parking tickets that may be issues and relay this responsibility on the customer. When a customer is notifying us of eventual parking issues that they want to avoid, we automatically add a $60 flat fee to the estimated total to compensate for eventual tickets.
b) Stairs are subject to extra fees and are being carefully considered by company reps giving out estimates over the email or phone. The company is very straight forward about this and unless a customer is deliberately silent about the presence of any stairs or impediments as well as excessively heavy items, the extra fees are made aware of and explained to the customer before the move has even been booked.
c) Though our personnel is properly trained and equipped with protective gear (moving ads) damages will on infrequent occasions occur. We have the basic moving insurance included in all our rates and are also offering optional replacement value insurance to all our customers. If there is a problem and an item is damaged, a simple claim form is completed and submitted for a refund based on the purchased insurance. I invite you to contact me directly with your reference number – we can still work on this and refund you if that is the case. I want to stress that the company has no issues recognizing a problem when caused by the its personnel, however we refuse to engage the insurance when a customer wants to profit and is dishonest making phone calls and inquiries and throwing threats at us just to intimidate and obtain the desired compensation when no damages have actually been caused by us.I’d be happy to address the matters behind the your final words, however find it totally impossible due to absolute lack of details. I want to apologize for any caused inconveniences and will be happy to hear from you at your earliest convenience
Thank you,
Eugene Falcetti
