I was looking for a new door and came across this company that used my existing door. I was able to cut and insert a brand new wrought iron glass pane. They were quick and precise and I'm very happy with my door.

I reached out to Barry looking to upgrade my existing front door with decorative glass inserts. He was able to provide a quote based on pictures. I chose the "Moderna" design as I wanted something that provides privacy but also lets in natural light. On the day of install, Barry arrived on schedule and provided quick service. I'm so grateful for his attention to detail and professionalism. He very politely suggested that we could upgrade the trim to black at the same time and I agreed that it would look much better. The result is absolutely stunning! Highly recommended.

From the moment we decided to get full length inserts, Barry and his team were helpful, efficient and customer friendly.
Barry answered my (many) emails promptly and offered his advice and next steps, always making me feel knowledgable on the subject.
We had our inserts installed today and could not be happier! The job was done in a timely manner, including a clean up and taking the old inserts away.
Our doors needed to be altered in order to fit the inserts - this was done on-site without issue.

Got What A Pane Inc. from a reference, they were wonderful to work with from the first phone call. Spoke with Barry, he was very informative. Guided me on the selection and explained the process.

Completed the work within the promised timeline, had an issue with the new door hardware not fitting correctly on the day of the install, they put the old handles back and came back next day as promised to install the new door handles (On a Sunday).

Could not be happier. Highly recommend these folks. I have referred them already to family and friends.

The sale of your home can present a lot of difficult decisions: should you sell the house "as is" or make necessary changes in order to appeal to a wider group of buyers. What A Pane allows you to rehab old doors with brand new glass inserts and some paint. Barry and team are extremely knowledgeable and patient with my many questions and ultimately helped me pick a stained glass insert that has been the talk of the neighbourhood!! The work on my double front door was so great that 8 months later I used What a Pane to rehab my 2 sets of old French doors to my back patio. Thanks What a Pane for present a great alternative to 20K for brand new doors!!

We hired Barry and his team to install 2 full-length glass inserts. They were really great. For example:

Responsive - When we were deciding whether to do the project, they were very fast to respond to questions by email. They were happy to quote based on photos/measurements and without any hassle. Emails were very concise.

Efficient inserts - What a pane sells windows to your specifications. We got high-efficiency triple pane with argon and low-e. You cannot buy those online or at any retailer. [As an aside, next time I would specify multiple panes with low-e to get the highest efficiency, not just one, which would make them a bit more efficient.] If you are putting a big window in, it makes tons of sense to get efficient ones.

Custom sizing - I got windows fit to my door. Some doors (like mine) will not work with the inserts you buy at a retailer.

Fast, clean, & quality - The install was fast and clean. All the garbage was taken away. If I had done it, it would have been a bunch of work to get the materials, do the project, and remove the waste.

Good price - I do lots of things myself but in this case it was well worth it to pay someone else. We put large clear glass in, transforming the door to a full-width glass door to let in light. Compared to the cost of installing an entirely new door, the inserts were about 1/4 the price (and would have been less if we didn't need a custom size).
