After it took us about a week to figure out the source of a leak in our basement (turned out to be a backed up drain hose from the air conditioner), we sadly decided we'd need to replace some sections of our beautiful 6-year old carpet, as mould would likely set in. We called Mark to assess how much we'd need to replace. When Mark came by, he looked at it all very carefully and explained that because the underpad is a very high quality synthetic (10 mm Gold with moisture, mould and mildew protector, if you're interested), mould growth is inhibited and that everything actually looked fine!
