Foundation crack in basement. Called Renco and spoke to Terry who provided estimate and set appointment for next day. Ty showed right on time and got to work after explaining what he would do. When finished he went over what had been done and went on to explain why this can occur. He was most knowledgeable and courteous and a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

1. Terry of Renco knows his stuff. Within 5 minutes of arriving at our home, he had diagnosed the source of our basement leak, an old coal shoot door. The insurance remediation company and another foundation company could not. As a result, the repair was made to a small area and not to two 12-foot lengths of foundation extending from the house corner.
2. The excavation, was elegant and not destructive. Instead of bringing a back hoe through our yard, the earth was vacuumed out! A large hose was brought along one of my paths and the earth sucked out to a truck. on the street. It took very little time.
3. The remaining work was done quickly and efficiently. The coal shoot door was removed, the foundation hole filled with mortar and cinder block, the weeping tiles inspected, waterproofing and PLATON foundation wrap applied, crushed stone and then topsoil filled excavated area. Not only that but a uniform parging was done to the whole side of that foundation wall so it did not appear patchy.
4. Grading of the soil and general cleanup left the area looking as though no work had been done. We're VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.

Wanted to thank Terry of Renco for his time this morning. I contacted him for advice and a quote to repair a crack found along a corner section of my home. Renco’s website does great job of explaining different types of cracks and when it is urgent and when it is cosmetic damage. Terry responded immediately upon my message to him and provided options of both DIY and professional repair. He seemed genuinely interested in helping me out rather than making a quick buck. Terry responded to our request with a site visit to discuss our needs and ideas and presented our best options based one his extensive knowledge and experience. Many home renovations are similar to "voyages of discovery" during which the homeowners make some less than pleasant discoveries related to the original construction of their home. This was exactly our experience but having RENCO on our side made all the difference. Terry's team of workers had the requisite experience, competence and expertise which instilled confidence that the final product of their labours would be first class indeed. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had RENCO for our bathroom renovations and have no hesitation in recommending this local company to any homeowner looking for quality workmanship and a very satisfying renovation experience.

Renco just finished some water leaks in my kitchen nook area and crack in my basement foundation. Terry is the face of the company, very friendly, knowledgeable and overall amazing to deal with. His crew was extremely courteous, meticulous and professional. Having lived in my house 13 years with this problem from the start, both the builder and another contractor could not figure out the problem causing the leak. Terry did a quick inspection, found the problem, recommended fixed the area leaking and recommended a wait period to ensure no more water entered. His crew repaired all the interior damaged areas beyond expectations. You will not be disappointed with this company.

We had a little water into a finished basement this spring - nothing major, but we wanted it addressed. Terry responded within a day to a call over the Easter weekend. He came and inspected, diagnosed and gave us options in terms of solutions. Work got done promptly and thoroughly. There was inevitably disruption but team worked hard to minimize that. Terry kept a close eye on progress with multiple daily visits during the work and was always available to answer questions. Overall very happy with the job done and would be happy to recommend to anyone in Ottawa needing foundation waterproofing.

Our basement was flooded during the spring thaw and flooding in 2019. Mr Frazer of Renco Home Improvements answered my call for an assessment and provided an estimate for repairs promptly within a few days. The recommended repairs were considerably less extensive than others and at a much lower cost. We compared the differing estimates and were persuaded by the detail of the Renco assessment and explanations, the lifetime warranty offered with the repairs and the positive reviews that we reviewed online. The work was started within a few days and completed without interruption in 2 days by 2 workers. Both were professional, polite, considerate and very tidy. I inspected the progress regularly and they took the time to explain the work underway, the steps and timeframes in detail. The final cost was as estimated with no surprises. We highly recommend them for related work and have other projects that we will likely call them for in the near future.

I found "Renco Home Improvements" on homestars.com. I've read some of the reviews and decided to contact them. Terry replied right away within less than an hour, started asking questions and wanted to see pictures right away.
He then decided to come take a look and he came to my home the next day which was nice and shows their professionalism.
Terry took a look and explained to me very clearly what the issue was. He is knowledgeable.
His crew came about three weeks later because they were swamped with work during that rainy season. They fixed my issue and provided a warranty certificate.

The one thing I would like "Renco Home Improvements" to improve is below:
Please, put a rug or plastic sheet when you inject Epoxy into a crack. in my case they didn't so I had Epoxy spilled on my basement floor. That stuff is hard to remove and it looks like water on the basement floor.
That's the only comment I have other than that I am overall satisfied.

Water on the basement floor is never a good thing but, it’s especially bad when there’s a For Sale sign on your lawn! Terry came to assess the situation within hours if my call and Charlie arrived and fixed everything the very next day. As good as new in less than 48 hours! Thanks Renco!
