I had the opportunity to build my home, and spent much time researching and visiting different builders and seeing their model homes to get an idea of the quality and design I was looking for. I had a really positive feeling when visiting a couple of the model homes built by Marken Homes. I was greeted by their sales team, and was able to spend a lot of time going over the different options. I knew I wanted to build a bungalow and I knew I wanted my home to be fairly open concept. Marken provided lots of suggestions, and was able to show me many different design layouts. Both Dave and Fausta offered a lot of great suggestions, and before I knew it, the new home build was starting. I was very excited about this adventure, and Dave and Fausta helped me step by step as I chose the many different items for my home. What was nice was when I went into the different places, to meet with the suppliers, to choose my flooring, my cupboards, doors, etc., just how kind and friendly the people were to deal with. They spoke very genuinely of Dave and Fausta, and I knew immediately, that they worked exceptionally hard at making sure their customers were happy with their choices. The suppliers also went out of their way to be helpful and offer feedback when necessary. I knew that they too had a very positive rapport with Dave and Fausta. It was a very team oriented approach, of everyone working together to make the new homeowner happy and satisfied. What I appreciated was Marken's customer contact and organization. Fausta and Dave were very well organized in that everything was always on schedule. Fausta gave me ample time to make my choices, and if I had changed my mind or had a question about anything, there was never an issue as Fausta always prepared for this. Dave and Fausta answered my questions and always responded to emails daily. The idea of them not getting back to you, as mentioned in other reviews is just absurd. They always went out of their way to contact you. A lot of times, they would be emailing after the work day had concluded and or very early in the morning. They know how to get the job done well, and to keep their customers happy. Marken Homes is an incredible organization that truly takes great pride in their work. I loved watching everything come into fruition; seeing all of my choices unravel in my beautiful home. I loved the experience of building a home, and I would build again with Marken Homes! They have a great team, and their workmanship is superior to other Niagara builders. Marken's standards are other builders upgrades. That's the truth; you just have to walk into their homes, and you know immediately, that you have walked into a quality build like no other. Marken Homes is a fabulous builder and I recommend them whole heartedly. I've recommended many friends and colleagues and they too, are pleased with their finished homes. Go Marken for your Home!

New Home Build

I am the proud owner of a Marken Bungalow, built 4 years ago. This was my first time building a home, and both Dave Kendall and Fausta Maranda made this experience very positive and the end result was remarkable! As I was new to the idea of designing and building my first home, I obviously had a lot of questions and a lot of learning to do. Marken was very helpful, always offering great suggestions and ideas. When it came to choosing the flooring, bricks, doors and/or windows, both Fausta and Dave always offered insight and gave good feedback. It was very apparent from the start, just how invested they were in helping me create my home. If I was happy, they were happy. After I moved into my home, Dave and Fausta made a point of reaching out to make sure that I was satisfied with how everything went. If I had a question or a concern, both were happy to stop by to help me out. My overall experience was exceptional! I thoroughly enjoyed the process from start to finish, and I would highly recommend Marken Homes to anyone and everyone. With Marken Homes, you can count on quality workmanship and impressive attention to detail. I will happily build again with Marken Homes!

Home was built 4 years ago, no major concerns to start. Basement is now leaking, but builder has stated this is not her concern and to go through contractor. Marken states it is not a Major Structural problem. Funny how a foundation leak isn't a major structural problem, especially after less than 4 years. Beautiful homes yes, and fantastic there are no major structural problems, unless water in your basement is a problem for you. Based on our incredibly disappointing experience with the builder, the aggravation of trying to reach them and have them rectify the situation, I wouldn't recommend this builder to anyone.

Very hard to get in touch with the builder, you have to go through realtor or email and it takes a long time to get a response, they are not accommodating when it comes to meeting to deal with issues and it is always when it is convenient for them. There homes are well built and beautiful but the aggravation level of dealing with them sometimes makes you wonder if its worth buying from them.
