A Speedy Locksmith

I accidentally locked myself out of my basement unit apartment, I called and they said it should be about $60 to fix one residential lock. The locksmith called and said it would 30-40 mins. I waited. I called him after 45 mins. He said 30-40 mins again, I said you said that last time, and then he said 35 mins I guarantee. After another 45 mins he called me with a bunch of excuses and said he might not be able to do it. Called me back after hanging up and said he would be on his way guarantee 40 mins and he would arrive. I missed my shift as my car keys were locked in my unit and I am a travelling PSW. He showed up after 50 mins said my lock was a Chinese lock and that he couldnt pick it and might have to drill the door and that it would be $199 if he can Jimmy it open and $250 if he drills it open. When he told me this he was already halfway through trying to pop it open and I was already desperate and late for work. He got it open but in the process broke my handle and now it doesnt lock, so I will need to purchase a new lock for my unit after being charged $224.87 and waiting just under 3 hours for this terrible service. SAVE MONEY AVOID THIS BUSINESS!

They came to my door told me $290 then instead of taking the time to do the door properly they took a drill I told them to stop they said no no you agreed then damaged the lock on my door completely and didnt replace it ! Thats not $290 worth of service

Called because my deadbolt was busted to my condo and I couldn’t get in. They replaced the deadbolt with one that did not fit properly the guy said it would be ok call back if I had trouble. Well a week later and still no service said they were sending out a tech they never di. Then to top it all off he busted my unit number plate on my condo door and did not offer to replace it.

This office was quite eager to get a phone number and address when first contacted. I left a call-back number to get a quote prior to the work. Within minutes my call was returned with a quote of $45-$69 to recore 1 lock. However, once the work was completed the technician, Raza, produced an invoice for $150. Subsequent calls to this 24-hr business, and leaving a message directly with the receptionist to get an explanation for this difference went unanswered.

I believe the owner's name is Richard Guo. Speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. When we called him in the morning, he asked us to email him a picture of our lock and he gave us a quote shortly thereafter. He said he could come in a few hours. He did end up being late, but said it was because a customer asked him to work on more locks than they initially asked him to do. He basically unscrewed the lock and took the unit to work in his car. Afterwards, he gave us three keys for the rekeyed lock. He worked quickly, didn't damage the lock, and stuck to his price of $40.
