We had Rick Ménard Heating and Cooling Ltd. come in and convert our wood-burning fireplace to a gas fireplace. They were great in both the work and in accommodating our stretched out basement renovation schedule! They first came in to remove the old fireplace, install the venting and run the gas line. The crew did a great job, arrived on time and were clean, efficient and professional. They later returned to install and connect the new gas fireplace and did so in the same professional, reliable manner that I have come to expect. In addition to this recent work, we’ve had them install our furnace, an air-conditioner, and provide maintenance over the years. They’ve also done work for family and even a few of my neighbours! I am quite particular when it comes to choosing professional services and I never hesitate to recommend Rick Ménard Heating & Cooling Ltd.; they consistently provide good work and good service which isn’t always easy to find.

When we moved here in Ottawa we shopped around who install furnace and A/C then we found HomeStars and it's in here we checked this Menard Rick Heating and Cooling. We hired this based on the good reviews of their pasts clients. In Jan 20, 2014 the guys Gaston and Michael installed the furnace, changed fireplace from wood to gas, changed the old ducts and in late spring of 2014 they installed the Air Conditioner. These guys did really a great job. During the days of their work since it created a big mess they always let the house neat and clean. They were nice and respectful guys. After all the job done they gave us advised about maintenance, how and what to do incase something problem. When we had a problem about Carbon Monoxide(caused by other guy that we didn't know) we called Menard's Office and in less than 10 minutes the guy showed up and helped with the problem. It's a year this January 2015 and we did enjoy and had no problem with the worked they done. The price is reasonable comparing to other previous quote. We are happy and satisfied and we will be always using their service for the maintenace. For sure we will recommend Rick Menard Heating and Cooling whoever needs their service.

Rick Menard Heating and Cooling provided us with a very detailed quotation, a great price for a Carrier furnace/AC and then did a very clean, neat installation in a difficult site.

I used RMHC to replace a furnace, A/C, water heater and install an HRV (Carrier Infinity series). I am extremely pleased with the end result. Very professional company from the front office to the installers. Luc was very knowledgeable when discussing system requirements. Quote was detailed and price competitive. Installers (Mike and Nick) were punctual, quiet, hard working, cleaned after themselves and very meticulous. They were quick to address any concerns I had. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a trouble free experience.

I pretty much knew what I wanted: Carrier furnace (either modulating or 2-stage) and carrier 2-stage AC with Infinity control. I had gotten a similar furnace installed in my previous house and was not very please by the install experience with another local company. Subsequent to this, I had gotten an HRV installed by Rick Menard and was very pleased, so I called upon them once again.

Derek came by the house and discussed many options. He is definitely very knowledgeable and has a background as a home inspector so he was able to point out a few more things. I highly recommend his advice.

The quote was very competitive and with the available rebates, it was pretty much a no brainer to go with the modulating furnace. I went ahead and got the equipment ordered.

Gaston and Michaël did a great install, with much attention to details. I was told that quality is more important than quickness, and that they would rather it take more time in order to do it right. It definitely shows with the very clean install (piping, condensating pump that drains directly in vented drain, etc.)
