In October 2009, I had Home Depot's Installation Services install a new flat roof on our home and a new skylight. (This review is about the flat roof portion that they did. The sloped roof portion was under a separate contract and cost an additional $4707.27.) The Home Depot quote was about $2000 more than the next contractor, but we believed in the brand and the warranty at the time.

We started having problems last year and we thought it was due to an ice storm in the spring. So we called up an eave company and had all our eaves replaced. We had to disconnect our gutters from the sewer line, so we thought it would solve two problems.

However, it now turns out that the problem is the terrible job Home Depot did. We are now having to rip out the entire flat roof job and start from scratch at a cost of $6,446.25! The Home Depot installation comes with a warranty of 5 years, but we are in our 6th year. A roof should last at least 20 years! I am posting this review as a warning to anyone thinking Home Depot is worth considering.

I have attached photos of the membrane which has separated all around the edges of the roof. As well, you can see how bad the skylight was installed. We don't have a ladder to access our roof, so I was never able to check on it myself. I had to rely on trusting Home Depot. I would demand my money back if I could.

I had to get insulation for an office renovation and had no idea what type to get and the quantity of insulation bails. They helped me to figure that out and assisted in packing my van to be able to deliver the product. They really took the stress off me!

I was looking for a new faucet for my sink and had picked out one from the demos on display. However, I could not find it on the shelves. When I asked one of the employees, they looked it up on the computer that it was in stock, but they couldn't find any on the shelves or even in the storage shelves above. I had to purchase a different model which wasn't the one I wanted. They need to make sure their system stock matches what they have in store!

Our old kitchen was completely done by home depot. The designer who worked with us was very attentive to our requirements and gave us a clear estimate . The job was done professionally and a few problems encountered were corrected promptly

Great Quality and competitive prices. The monthly payments with no interest were great. The materials were just as good as some of the expensive companies. The came on time and completed the project in one day. There was no water leakage during the big storm.

I purchased approximately 400 square feet of laminate plank flooring at this Home Dept location. The flooring specialist on duty was knowledgeable and helpful. Another staff member arrived quickly at the front of the store to help me load everything up into my SUV. I was very satisfied with my experience.

After approving the design, they proceeded to install the kitchen but ... the measurements were wrong and there was no room for one of the cabinets. They had to change everything around it and the two weeks it was supposed to take turned into nearly two months. It was a nightmare!
