Back in 2016 we built a home with this builder, and let's just say their methods are highly questionable. We had a bunch of deficiencies that they wouldn't come back and fix. Had a first home inspection within months of moving in and found alot problems, to which they never admitted to. So we had Alberta new home warranty in and well you know how they are. So we got a lawyer and have been battling ever since. During this process I uncovered more issues through another inspection confirming my fears. Fast forward over 3 years later, I recently had an engineer over to have a look at my deck the builder built. After alot of digging I found out that my deck wasnt code compliant. I have found out that I have been living in a home with no occupancy permit as the builder never complied to the town inspectors inspection, but proceeded to hand over the home without us knowing about it. I really dont know what else to say other then we feel we got railroaded. Beware and do your homework.
