Loewen Windows

Avoid at all costs. Their windows were the most expensive item in our renovation and, by far, the worst service & product. We spent $40K on Loewen windows. Half the windows they sent with the wrong grilles. They resent the wrong windows THREE times. 9 months in, there are visible light gaps to the outdoors through our windows. Sashes are too stiff to operate or so loose they fall down. Brand new screens came with holes and gaskets falling off. The screen 'pegs' don't line up with the holes in the window frames, so they can't even be used. Their installers put all the window lifts on crooked and out of level. When we wrote in painstaking detail to the CEO about what a disaster things were, it took two follow-ups just to get a response - that he had "NEVER heard" of these claims against their company (he had been with the company for 9mths - guess he hadn't read reviews or talked to customers yet).

This is by far the worst supplier on my luxurious country home. Their product is not properly engineered. I have nothing but leaks, windows shattered because of stress and improper installation, failed seals, and air infiltration. Before you sign a contract you need to have a good lawyer on board because they don’t move unless you threaten them with legal action. The worst company I have dealt with ever. Nothing but frustration.

I put in Loewen's windows in my previous house, and the craftsmanship, durability and beauty are second to none.

Now I need to replace all the windows in my new house, and the staff are very helpful!

Found Loewen Windows at the home show after going to all the window installers these people stood out right away. After they came with their estimate there was no question we were going with them. Loewen Windows use a local manufacturer. The install was impeccable. The paint company that did the house after said they had never seen such a pro window replacement. The cleanup an finishing was done to perfection.

We had single pane aluminum windows replaced on our 19960s home with wood siding. The quality of the windows over the old we had installed on our previous house are very noticeable. These ones operate smoothly and were installed by in-house employees as opposed to contracted, smoking riff-raff with the crotch of their pants around their knees. The initial consultation was courteous and Architectural Windows & Doors was patient with our renovation timeline.
