The issue submitted earlier has been resolved by Reliance on October 8th, 2014. Following this prompt response from Reliance this time; I have withdrawn my complaint and modified my rating.

Water Filtration & Purification review in Barrie

Reliance continued to collect rent from me despite having been advised by my lawyer that I no longer own the house. It then refused to refund part of the rent collected before Jan 2012, under the pretext it did not acquire the company owning the contract until that date.
I escalated the complaint to its Escalation Department, which did not even answer my letter.
It seems to me a company should be responsible for the obligations of the businesses it acquires.
