Home Depot Canada The - Oakville

We recently purchased new outdoor furniture from The Home Depot in Oakville, ( second Major purchase from there in two months). As before the Staff could not have been more helpful in advising us of the Pros and Cons for our final choice. Pricing and Selection were excellent.
A totally satisfying Shopping Experience !!

After 30 years we decidedto replace the side door on the house.
We went with Home depot becuse we wanted no hassles.
We selected the door with the window which would open.
Delivery was not on time and ended up being 2 weeks late.
Installed finally during a rain storm, not pleased
Next day noticed door had a crack near hinge.
called Home Depot and waited 2 months for someone to come .
First the said it was not a problem.Then agreed to replce door.
Door arrived without window. Installer had to cut old window out and cut new hole to relce it in door.
Not happy

Had the home depot install a storm door (which was also purchased at the home depot).

Service man came and took measurements, and since it was an outdoor project he didn't require us to be home which was nice (talked over the phone instead.) A few weeks later the door came in and he quickly installed it. Zero problems, door fit perfectly, which was an issue with the last door we had which was measured improperly.

Only issue is that from the time the measurements were taken and the time the door was fully installed, there was quite a wait or at least a greater wait then we had expected (a month for a door). In the end though the no fuss installation made the wait well worth it.

We are replacing all toilets in the house. Bought five toilets from home depot. It took 3 months for my contractor to get to them and found out one doesn't fit and he already thrown away the box. Took back to home depot, without original receipt, no box and after 3 months. They refunded me! Good people

ordered hardwood flooring, tile, and grout. Called last friday, was told that skids were ready for pick up and sales person was in front of skids. Installer went to pick up two hours later and skids were lost, but he found the sales girl. Home depot offerred tomdeliver for free for the mix up. Thats when things went to hell in a handbag fast. The next morning in thhe biggest rain downpour in weeks home depot delivered the skids in an open truck and skids not covered, wood boxes opened on top They wrapped the skids left to right, but not on top. raintends to fall top to bottom. Skid ofnhardwood soaked with water collecting bottom rowmof boxes. Tlleboxes so soaked when i picked it up tore apart under my hands. Grout bags soaked and tearing apart when picked up. Got refunded for it all but whata fiasco. They even screwed up the refund, refunding wrongmcredit cards with wrong amounts. They apologized but trust was broken. I could not believe anyone cold be so stupid and careless. Now back to square one and me cursing home depot more everyday as wifemchanged her mind on color. Installer also lost work for a week. The asst mgr said "it wasnt rainingnwhen we loaded it on the truck"

Home depot at this location does not get back to you to give you an estimate. every time I call they say someone will call you with in 5 business days. called them 3 times. No response for the last 3 months.

Assisted in the floor tiling of my home. Job well done. The handyman came to our place, assesed the situation and went back afterwards and returned the following day to carry out the work. Job was well done.

We went through Home Depot for a last minute paint job on our kitchen and bedroom prior to the sale of our townhouse. The HD contractor, Mike, and his crew were able to accomodate us almost immediately, and did a fantastic job (especially the extensive patch work that was required) at a very reasonable price. We subsequently called them back in to paint the main portion of the house we moved into. Although the Home Depot online request showed this store did not offer the service (an IT error), would highly recommend this contractor if you are in the south Mississauga/Oakville area. Price is excellent, patchwork flawless, extremely friendly crew, and will honour their committed time frame (even if the boss has to jump in and help...which he did on the last day).
