I custom ordered a leather sectional that took about 5 months before it was ready for delivery. Two movers showed up (one in a suit. One part of my sectional fit through the garage level and was delivered and unpacked. The movers went for the second piece and after about 10 mins I went to see what the hold up was. The second piece didn't fit through that entrance so they had to bring it up a flight of stairs at the front of the building. What I saw was apalling! They were rolling it up the stairs end to end rather than carrying it. When they saw me they began carrying it properly, but I guess the damage was already done. After they brought it up, unpacked it and left I repositioned it and noticed that a corner was damaged with two scrapes through the leather. The couch was wraped in cardboard and plastic so they must have dragged it on the sidewalk which ate through all the layers and into the couch. Obviously the way they were handling it had caused the damage. I called the company and sent over pictures (2 scrapes/holes in the corner). At first they said they would replace it no problem, but then they called back and said they would only repair it by putting a patch over it.
I can't believe that they are refusing to replace part of a couch that THEY damaged!
Why should I pay full price expecting a brand new, mint condition couch and have to settle for a damaged couch?
