My New Build Home Experience with Trico Homes
I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a new build home with Trico Homes, and overall, it has been an exciting and positive experience. From the very beginning, I was guided by a team of professionals who truly made the process smooth and enjoyable.
Erica, from the sales team in Carrington office, was the first salesperson I talked to at Trico Homes. She was so friendly and understanding, later referred me to Belmont office after learning about my preferences in house hunting.
Will, the sales representative in Belmont office, was outstanding throughout. He was always answering my questions in a timely manner, providing detailed information and ensuring I understood every step of the home-buying process. His professionalism and attention to detail made me feel confident and well-informed, and I truly appreciate his dedication.
A big thank you goes to Jamie, the site supervisor. Jamie's commitment to ensuring that the build was progressing smoothly was evident at every stage. He was highly responsive, attentive to detail, and consistently made sure that my concerns were addressed quickly and effectively. His professionalism gave me peace of mind knowing that the construction was in good hands.
Additionally, Fiona, the warranty inspector, has been wonderful to work with. She has been incredibly thorough and meticulous in her inspections. Fionas responsiveness and clear communication have been very reassuring, and I appreciate her dedication to ensuring that the home meets the highest standards of quality.
However, while the overall experience was great, there are a few areas where I believe the builder, Trico Homes, could make improvements in future developments. Firstly, the quality of the hardwood flooring in my new home could be better. Ive noticed that the flooring is not up to the standard I had expected, and I believe it would be beneficial for Trico Homes to consider upgrading to a higher-quality hardwood. This would significantly enhance the overall appeal and longevity of the home.
Secondly, the placement of the showerhead in the upgraded shower booth seems to be impractical. The positioning is such that it increases the risk of accidents or discomfort while using the shower. A more reasonable and safer placement would not only improve the functionality of the bathroom but also ensure the safety of future homeowners.
In conclusion, my experience with purchasing this new build home has been largely positive, and I am grateful to Will, Erica, Jamie, and Fiona for their professionalism and outstanding service. While there are a few minor areas for improvement, I am confident that Trico Homes will take this feedback into account and continue to deliver quality homes in the future.
As a side note, Trico Homes offered an extra benefit to home buyers a free Virtual Concierge Service hosted by Virtuo. Julio, the Live Chat Rep on Virtuo.com, was equally impressive. He was approachable, friendly, and always ready to assist with my questions. It is really helpful especially because I was living far away from this new community. Using its online portal, I was able to browse photos of my new home throughout the construction process. The portal also includes hookups of various services, such as Insurance, Moving, Window Coverings, Mailbox & Utilities Activation etc; I indeed got some of my arrangements done through Virtuo team or their suggested vendors. I was happy with these vendors EXCEPT the mover. Other than damaging a few items during the move, this moving company overcharged me by almost double the original estimate; they even denied their promise of the final cost not to exceed 30% of the estimated amount. Anyway, this bad experience is nothing to do with Trico Homes or Virtuo; and I had shared my point of view with Virtuo.
