Terrible Workmanship. We ordered a custom double hung back door, from a local lumber yard. The first door to be shipped got sent back by Jeld - Wens own staff. When the second door arrived and was installed it creaked when opening it. Investigation showed the hinges were installed crooked and one was bent. When I popped out the bottom hinge pin it took using a long handled screw driver as a pry bar and lots of force the even start the pin back into place. The warranty service guy was polite but said he had only been given direction to redrill the holes and put new hinges in.
I paid almost $2000 for a new door and I get a door with redrilled screw holes, as their fix. Ben in the Winnipeg office was unsympathetic and arrogant.
I've done several builds and renovation in my life time using different windows and door suppliers.
Jeld - Wen was the poorest build quality I've seen. Buy from anyone but them.
