This past summer we replaced the roof of our main building, a traditional church building with a steep pitch, with a "new steel" roof.
At the outset we didn't pursue the possibility of steel shingles on the assumption the cost would far exceed the cost of asphalt shingles, even though we knew steel shingles would last much longer. As it turns out we were mistaken about price, & under circumstances different than our's, often the old roof can remain just where it is, representing extra savings.
We were also concerned about safety. We're pleased to report that safety codes & standards were maintained & the roof, soffit, & fascia have been installed to our complete satisfaction, & looks to all appearances like a fancy "soft" shingle, although it's steel & warranteed for fifty years!
The pictures tell the story. We commend New Steel Roofers to any prospective customer!

Thank you Pastor Dave,
People do assume that a metal roof is unaffordabele, but in some circumstances (older buildings or houses) a metal roof comes in at the same price or even less than a traditional shingle. Because the church is so close to the road one of your concerns was the ice and snow slide off will hurt pedestrians walking by, and the stone coating on the metal will eliminate that. The shake profile looks great on your church. i have attached photos in the photo galery. Thanks, New Steel Roofers.
