To start my review is not about the technician or the sales representative who took my phone call and made my appointment but rather the overall customer service I received. My AC unit would not start and it's the beginning of the season. I had this problem last year and it ended up being the high pressure switch that tripped. I know I should have paid more attention last year but I didn't see the technician reset the the button. Before calling A1 I attempted to troubleshoot the problem myself using you tube videos with no success. I couldn't locate the reset button and called A1. I explained I had this problem last year and paid someone to come out for 5 minutes at a total cost of $125 to push a button. I was hoping that I could get some advice where to find the button prior to making an appointment and paying the hourly rate for 5 minutes of work again. The sales representative who took my appointment was very professional and polite but was unable to direct me to someone who could help troubleshoot the problem saying that I could not speak to a technician but would have to make an appointment at the rate of $125. I felt I was out of options and made the appointment. A technician was able to come by the same day and was also very professional and polite. I explained the situation and what I thought the problem was. The technician showed me where the button was and after 5 minutes of work again I was again paying the hourly rate. I know that this is a business and the company needs to make money but I feel I was taken advantage of. I think there is a right way of doing business and that the company could do a better job in regards to there customer service and not care about just the dollar they will be receiving. I was a previous customer and again felt taken advantage of. Next time I will probably not use A1 service or recommend it to people.
