A bowed pony wall that we overpayed for, imperfect work on pricey hardwood flooring (expecially on the stairs). Having to constantly phone the store to see if anyone is coming. They hire sub-contractors and do not relay important information so I would ask a sub-contractor a question about something and he would say "that is not my job to to that" so then I would have to phone or go down to the store to clarify and 100% of the time it was his job. It was an expensive and frustrating experience. I also felt the consultant who helped us pick the flooring did not spend enough time or thought about our needs (we have child) enough. The stain proof carpet which has a design that seems to lock in dirt was not a good choice.
We had our house painted before the flooring was laid down and the carpet guys were told by me about the paint job (I doubt the company mentioned it to the workers). Well door casings/trim and paint on the walls was scraped right off buy the workers pulling huge pieces of carpet with one worker downstairs and into the upstairs bedroom with no care at all...and yes I witnessed this. I did not tell the company because by that time I knew what the response would be "you should get the painter to come back and touch-up"...which they did some but the paint job still did not look the same. This was not a few scrapes here and there but every door/wall/trim piece with some sort of damage done becuase the workers which they hire (sub-contractors) don't care and neither do they.
