I found this company through Homestars and I am very satisfied with their work. My attics were poorly insulated; in fact, one had the ORIGINAL insulation which was just a THIN layer!
Syd and Rob took their time to prep the attics properly before spraying the insulation in. Safety for their crew and their customer is a priority with them. Very straight forward and friendly.

Without hesitation, I highly recommend Affordable Insulation to anyone looking for home insulation. Their attention to customer service truly is exceptional. Jason responded promptly to my request for a home visit and quote. He was very informative about his initial inspection and a pleasure to speak with. Jason explained in detail what he saw (or didn’t see) in my attic and the work that would be undertaken by his crew. He was also forthcoming in mentioning items that may be uncovered after the more detailed inspection by Syd and Rod on the day they arrive to blow in the insulation, so there would be no last minute surprises. When the day came Syd and Rod certainly took the time to fully inspect the house and attic. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and recommendations were appreciated and valued. Syd did discover an issue in the attic that -- should I choose to address it -- he recommended be dealt with prior to their proceeding with the job. I imagine most other contractors at this point would have packed up and said see you later. Not Syd and Rob. Unbeknownst to me, the previous homeowners had tossed a lot of debris into the attic. Syd and Rob stuck around and spent a fair amount of time clearing it out in preparation for the day they could proceed with blowing in the insulation. When they finally were able to proceed, they left the property spotless - without a trace of their having been here. I’m already noticing a difference with the added insulation in that the A/C isn’t on nearly as much.

Jason took the time to explain everything to us. My husband was impressed by their professionalism, and they offered great solutions. I noticed that my 2nd floor is not as warm as it used to be since the insulation. Love their warranty! Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for attic insulation.

I called Affordable Insulation on a recommendation from the people who replaced our windows. I was impressed not only by their professionalism, but how much they cared about my home. I wanted a contracter who would come and do a good job, a proper job, with excellent materials, and who would treat my home like it was their own. From the quote to the finished job, I trusted their work and their expertise. I even refered them to my parents who also used Affordable Insulation to re-insulate their attic. They are not the cheepest, but in my oppionion the extra cash was worth the peace of mind.

We would highly recommend Jason and his team for any of your insulation needs. The quality of his work was fantastic and second only to his level of customer service. I didn't think it would be possible but we are actually turning down the AC because it's been working so well since having the insulation in our attic upgraded. I highly recommend this company. I called back in April and Jason came to inspect, explain our attic insulation condition and provide a quote. We agreed for the work to occur in late April. But then I was planning to replace my bathroom vans and couldn't do it on time before the work so I called Jason and he kindly agreed to change the schedule to May. They came on time as promised to do the work. They didn't rush and took the time to review and explain. They took pictures for me to see the insulation before the work and after the work. It took half a day to complete. Very fiendly and we chatted after the work was done while watching HGTV show. After the insulation we certainly feel the difference. Totally a satisfied customer!

After more than 2 years since Affordable Insulation completed my upgrade, I was still disappointed that an addition to my house did not have sufficient attic insulation. At no fault to this Contractor, this space was not included in the contract. My home was not completely insulated and the space required attention. Affordable Insulation completed the top up, without question, hassle and cost. Their professionalism, attention to detail and friendliness was appreciated and valued. Finanly, a company that is truly focused on satisfying their Customers. I am now completely satisfied with my home attic insulation-- and what a difference in comfort and energy savings.

I would highly recommend this company to do the attic insulation. They really took their time to do the job. My inspector said they put more than enough insulation materials in the attic. Besides, I had a bathroom fan going to the attic and hanging in the air. They discuss the possible options with me and helped me to remove the fan. They also put a piece of dry wall to cover the holes free of charge. They showed me how to compound the dry wall and left some materials and tools for me to do the second or third coating the following week. Bathroom fan project can save me several hundred bucks because they did it for free. Overall, excellent work quality and very polite people.

We hired Affordable Insulation & Renovation to fix 2 issues in a new build. First, the builder did a terrible job in the insulation. 3 months after close all of the batts had blown out, and the insulation was already blown far from the edge of the house. The builders attempt to "fix" this was just as bad. The second issue was a lot of the insulation was trampled when we had pot lights installed, we were down to R30 in some spots.

After looking here on homestars.com we contacted Affordable Insulation & Renovation based on all of the good reviews. Jason came to the house to do the inspection, he was very detailed in explaining the issues I had, the quality of the fix our builder did, and how he would address the problems. He showed the difference between what I had installed now, and the product he would be using. He also explained the little things his team would do as part of the job. Things like insulate and weather-strip the attic hatch.

On installation day, the team arrived when they were scheduled to arrive. They seemed to take their time to do the work right, the job took half of the day whereas the builder was in and out in less than an hour. When the work was complete they again explained what was done, and asked me to inspect the work before they started to clean up. They left everything they way they found it when they were done, like they were never there.

I would highly recommend Jason and his family run business Affordable Insulation & Renovation to anybody who needs insulation work done. Looking back at the whole process there is nothing that I can complain about. 10 stars.
