We are retired landlords. We needed new windows in order to sell a rental and made it clear whoever had the best price would supply and install.
Horizon had the best price because they misquoted . The only reason the salesperson had the best price was they made a MISTAKE.
Salesperson emailed this to me. " Only thing I did wrong is I should have picked up it then and advised you the whole window needs to be changed. "
At first they wanted to charge me for their mistake, window and the replacement . In the end they said the entire window was $31.00 and 1/2 hour to install. On an email labeled
"Revised quote" Horizon said : New Egress window $545.26 Labour to install: 2 hours lead and labour pair: $320 Total= $865.26
When we sent this email Carpet was to be installed next week . When can we expect the last window? This is what they sent us:
AFTER PAYING THE COMPLETED PORTION Supply and installation of one window $1,368.53 Sales Tax Total 68..43 Total: $1,436.96
AS I SAID the best price would get the job. Horizon supplied an dishonest price to get the job and were nothing short of unlawful to correct THEIR MINSAKE''NOT MINE
In the end one of the J& .... companies had the best price and is hired to fix Horizons mistake.
It should also be noted that over the past 30 years we hired Horizon for approximately 8 different jobs totaling over 100k
This is not the same company that Rod ran.
