I used centennial moving this summer to move from Manitoba to Ottawa. Do I ever regret the decision. At first I was pleased but when the mover came to my place, he was alone. Yes that's correct. One mover for an apartment of stuff. He was rude, dismissive toward me and immediately after, I received a phone call from the 'lovely' victor (companies owner), he told me that they would bring in a second man. Fine. I went to my room and stayed out of he movers way. About an hour after they left I received my invoice from the company via email and looked it over. As I was looking it over i received another call from Victor he told me in no uncertain terms to pay for my move now. That's right. Before the stuff arrived at its destination as per agreement ,as nothing I had his wonderful barely literate mover deemed valuable enough to move. I was in shock. First of all my stuff was in totes and you couldn't see what was in them unless you snooped. And secondly what an awful thing to say. I refused as I wanted to know the condition of my things when they arrived at destination. Victor then told me if I didn't in one hour they would put it on the side of the road. I'll just let that sink in. The pleasant owner of this company not only said I had nothing of worth but decided to say that if I didn't pay immediately I would lose all my non "valuables". Yes I paid. I had too. These were my things.
When the mover arrived at Ontario again it was just him moving stuff his helper not coming and he hoofed stuff around my boyfriend being at the drop off point (I hadn't arrived) was shocked and appalled by how cavalier he was. When j got to Ontario I had numerous things broken. An entire dinner ware set that was actually valuable and a few other assorted things.
I write this today to implore anyone considering using this company to go on to the next one. Any other company is better than this. I honestly think that victor is by far one of the most awful people I have ever had to deal with in my professional life. He was crass, rude and quite frankly unprofessional to a level that was just baffling. I do see the good reviews and I feel that maybe my age (I'm quite young) may have something to do with this. It shouldn't. I have a professional healthcare job and have money. I deserve to be treated with the and amount of respect as anyone. I hope this review will help those looking for a moving company and go elsewhere.

Dear Rachelle,
Let me start with mentioning that our company, Centennial Moving, always does everything in its power to resolve any and all issues and we see the resolution of problems as a matter of urgency. We are sorry to see that you decided to leave a negative feedback about our company as trough the entire process we went above and beyond accommodate all your moving needs. We decided to send one mover because all the goods were light and small. Such items can easily be handled by one professional mover. The gentleman at destination volunteered to help the driver and we are very grateful for that.
Our representatives would never insult a customer and especially advise that their goods are not "valuable". Upon booking you were informed verbally and also sent an agreement where it clearly stated that all payments for weekend deliveries need to be processed during business days and prior to delivery. At the time when we picked up the goods we advised that delivery will happen on a Saturday and we asked you to take care of the payment by Friday afternoon. The invoice was sent an hour after our departure because we had to scale the goods and determine the weight to issue the correct amount in the invoice.
We are sad to hear that some of the items were damaged. All customers have the right to submit a claim as the goods are protected while in transit. We kindly ask you to contact us and submit an official claim through our company as it will be investigated and solved properly.
While we are thankful for the opportunity to move you, we are very sorry for not being able to meet or even exceed your moving expectations. All in all, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused during the move.
Sincerely,
Centennial Moving Team
