looking for a unique product

I was on the hunt for a specific little gadget and I found it on Home Hardware's website.........which does not offer direct online shopping. I started calling around to all of the stores on the lower mainland to locate the item with little success until I landed on this store. They just happened to have two in stock but offered to bring the item in for me even though it was a low price ticket item. I thought this was worth a mention as none of the other stores wanted to deal with such an insignificant item. When I actually went to this store, I was pleasantly surprised to see they they had managed to eek out a bit of space for a few parking spots for customers..........quite the feat in such an urban setting where parking is almost non-existent. I will be back to this helpful little hardware store in the middle of the urban jungle!

Gardening items and tools

This store is very small but has everything you need. Unlike big box stores that have a whole lot of nothing. I was able to find a hard to find wood plane size and exotic herbs that i could not find elsewhere. Green Shiso and cuban oregano anyone? I love coming here.

gardening

we have tremendous weeds in our garden and lawn area - we searched high and low for a device that turns out the weed (specifically dandelions) from the root area not just the top - we found some devices that could do the job but they were too flimsy or expensive or both - this location has it all - gardening, canning, electrical and sometimes construction - a great local all in one handy store

Hardware/Garden Supplies

I'm so happy this place is right in my neighbourhood. I buy almost all of my gardening supplies here, including organic and non-GMO, heirloom seeds (like EYA Urban Seeds). I also come here for small household hardware items and there is always someone available to help if I have a question. I would go here over a big-box hardware store any day.

Co-op Earthquake Kit

Our housing co-op decided that it was time to put together an earthquake preparedness kit for the 25 families who live here. We made a list of the items we needed and designated a budget amount. Then two of us went up to Magnet Hardware to buy the supplies we would need. When we told the owner what we were doing, he was so helpful! He managed to find us some very suitable items, like a wind up flashlight for less than we had anticipated and he made many excellent suggestions for items that we hadn't even considered. Other people working there chimed in with ideas for useful necessities. We were able to assemble an excellent kit that addresses needs for cooking, hygiene, shelter and rescue, all within our budget. The personal service and range of stock at our little local hardware store makes it a real gem.

PURCHASE OF CORD HOLDER

I wanted to buy a holder for a long extension cord. I went on the home hardware website & I found the one that I wanted fairly easily. There was no way to check on line if it was available at the store. I went to the store & unfortunately they didnt stock it. The staff was nice & told me they could bring it in - but I could go to Cdn tire & they may have it there. I did take their advice & went to Cdn tire. Too bad I couldnt buy it at homeharware but the staff was nice enought o help me find out right away. Thanks for that.

window covering purchase

This shop is great for small home needs. Everything from tools to blinds and it's not just a hardware store, nooo! They've got a lot of cute and nice accessories as well as a small plant nursery too!
In fact that's what caught our eye originally and drew us in. You'll spend some time in there browsing, and end up with more than you need.
