I have shopped at this store many times in the past for various items and continue to shop and this and other Home Hardware stores across Ontario because they never disappoint. They have products that the other big box stores never have in stock, they are always friendly, helpful and informed not to mention they always have a good deal. As a contractor I can say without regret Home Hardware has never let me down and I will indeed continue to shop there as often as needed.

We ordered some items to be picked up at the Bowmanville Home Hardware. I wanted to call ahead to arrange for my wife to pick the items up as I had received a confirmation email that they were ready. It turns out they don’t answer the phones. My wife took a copy of the email directly to the store and knocked on the door, after no one answered she headed to the lumber yard beside the store. The employee there told her to knock on the door and was of absolutely no help to her either. There were two other customers waiting to pick up their orders as well. I am so frustrated by the entire situation. We want to give business to a smaller locally owned store. If they don’t want to help the customers then close up shop! If you can’t staff enough to have the store open, don’t open at all. There are a lot of businesses open during this pandemic without a hitch. I will never order from there again.

Home Hardware Stores, charge restocking fees 15%, on unopened products.Which resulted in over a 100.00 dollars on a product i was going to reoder in a different style. if you are going to do a big project in your home, make sure you ask about returns, so you don;t get taken advantage of. It maybe better to go to a store that stands behind their products that they sell..

My husband and I were doing some renos and needed some small finishing pieces. We needed brushes corner guards and caulking. He sent me as his father and him were putting up the crown moulding and the lady at the store was so helpful and patient. After being in some big box stores it was nice to go to a small store where they knew their stuff and they really listened to their customers and helped me out. She explained the different types of caulking and I couldn't get the corner guards at any store in white. A small store with a lot of great staff and great products.

Living in a new home is great, but we were dreading the idea of building a fence. We'd heard so many people talk about all of the problems and issues they encountered.
We were pleasantly surprised at how well things went with Home Hardware. We ordered the wood and they said they would deliver it. We couldn't believe it. WE were still trying to figure out how we were going to get the supplies home! They even suggested the name of a company for digging posts! We bought all of the items needed for this project at Home Hardware and are happy to support a small community business! THANKS!
