Fireplace/mantle reconstruction
We were making the switch from a wood-burning fireplace to gas, and we needed someone to move and attach our decorative mantle to its new spot around the gas stove and to tile the marble hearth and surround and do a bit of woodwork. Moving the mantle was a delicate job, and we are so lucky that Gerry was referred to us. The work was quickly and neatly done, and he took great care with our antique mantle. He was extremely easy-going while around the house (I work mainly from home, and some contractors don't always like having you around!), and he was also very reliable -- showed up when he said he would, sent emails when he said he would, etc. He also did a good job at explaining any options we had when it was time to make decisions. We would recommend him for jobs big and small and will be asking him back for other home renovation projects here.
