Very poorly trained technicians, made multiple errors and every single time they deflected by blaming the customer. Burnt out our pump, failed to properly close our pool and didnt show up to service our pool while we were on vacation.

I trusted them with my pool opening, maintenance and closing work. They opened my pool saying few tasks to be done next week while maintaining. They did not wait to see if my pump and plumbing is working properly. In next two days when I realized there is a leak in plumbing, and called them, they asked me to keep the pump off and they will put a temporary fix next day, and will repair the leak later, as they are too busy opening the pool of others. That next day came after 3-4 days, but still the filter was having issue and the water was getting dirty like a pond. When I called Steve again (after several tries could reach him), he said everything is fine, just that chemicals need to be put in the water. When I told him, he should put chemicals as he and his is supposed to do maintenance of the pool, he said he will see if he can drop by, but did not. It's been 12 days, my pool is still a dirty little pond.

For doing a job which you pay for, if you have to chase your contractor like you are getting it free, then that is not professional service.

I contacted Crystal Clear Pools via email and they responded immediately. My pool had a lot of leaves and was almost black and I decided to get someone other than myself open it this year. I asked Steve on Sunday if they would be able to get to my pool before the long weekend which was only 12 days away during one of the busiest times for pool services. Steve called me immediately and let me know they could be at my house the following Wednesday. They showed up on the Wednesday morning and within a couple of hours pool was open and running. The guys that came were very professional and friendly. The price was well worth it because it saved me weeks of scooping just to get to a point where I could actually put any chemicals in.

I contacted Crystal Clear Pools after discovering that their pool opening service was competitively priced in comparison to others. They came when they said they would and performed the work that was possible. Our pool couldn't be completely opened because the breakers weren't turned on by me to start the pump. When I later came home I filled the pool myself, turned the pump on, had to wash the winterized cover myself, wash the weight bags myself (all which was supposed to be covered in the opening package). The technician was very accommodating after I discovered that there was a leak in my filter and offered many suggestions on how to remedy the problem and finally explained that I should deal with the owner of the company. I tried calling and leaving messages everyday for a week without a response. When I finally got a hold of the owner they said they were wiling to help fix the leak if I sent them an email explaining the work required. I did so almost an hour after our conversation, and almost two weeks later have yet to receive a response. It is appauling that the cheque I sent for the pool opening had no problems being cashed before the payment was due, but the company didn't have the courtesty to even respond to my email after they agreed to help; this is not my understanding of professionalism.
