It was great to work with Cal to refinish our floors! They look great and we are really happy with how they came out. We were able to select a custom color blend with the Rubio Monocoat. The cost was a bit higher than we initially expected, but with Rubio, we believe that there will be less future costs in maintaining the floors.

Cal was honest and professional during the initial site visit. Him and the crew did a fantastic job with the work and the end product was a floor that looks even better than original finish. A+++

From start to finish Cal and his crew did an excellent job. Cal worked around our schedule, started on time and finished on time. Love the new floors and are completely happy with all aspects of the job. Very good work and service.

We have 2 kids that really play hard on the floors and the previous owners of our house had 3 kids that also really did a number on our floors. The floors were pretty damaged and in need of some love, there were a few spots of water damage and some areas that needed to be replaced. We also decided to retrofit all the vents with wood to match our new finish since we decided to stain out floors. from the first time I met Cal I felt like i could trust him to do the job well and to be respectful of my needs and restrictions. He worked with us to help us find a finish that works for our family and gave us information and advice rather than restricting us to a specific product and we are so happy that he did. we love the rubbed oil finish and its mat look. He also suggested retrofitting the vents and they did a great job making them flush and they look like they belong perfectly with the floor. Cal also worked with us to find the perfect colour for our floors and they are exactly what i had envisioned. Although they do not put up dust clothes my husband and i wanted to make sure the dust didn't travel in out house so we put up a few to minimize mess. the amount of dust on surfaces by the time all was done was very minimal but did require a bit of dusting on all the ledges, baseboards, counters, cabinet doors, and windows. there was a small fix needed around our stove since we didn't disconnect it but had them work around it, they are planning to fix that in a prompt and have been very receptive to the added work of coming back to do it.

We could not have been happier with the job that Cal did in our house. We had red stained floors and wanted to move towards a grey color, and since this was going to change the way the entire house looked this was a big decision. Cal was great to work with and was a big help in guiding us towards a color that he knew we would be happy with. We were actually away on vacation while the work was being done, so we came home to a wonderful surprise of brand new floors and brand new looking house. The photos don't really do it justice, but once the new baseboards are in and the painting is done this house will be full transformed. Thanks Cal.

We live in a 59 year old house with very worn out, damaged, and yellowed hardwood red oak floors. We thought we'd try having them sanded and refinished instead of having them replaced. Cal came and spent a lot of time giving me an estimate but also talking to me about the process and the options. He was one of 3 quotes I sought and the one who took the most time and effort when coming to give me the quote. We were so impressed with the job we thought he'd replaced some of the boards but he hadn't. The floors look brand new! His standards are clearly very high and he treated us as preferred customers even though we are just a small home compared to the many huge and high end homes he has done. I would definitely, without reservation, recommend Cal to any of my dearest friends if they needed their floors done. Not only a top notch tradesman but a personable, honest and lovely person, too.

Have now worked with Cal refinishing hardwood on three separate occasions...once for our community hall, once in our home and recently again in our new home. Being a repeat customer speaks for itself but I will say that the jobs were on schedule, Cal was very attentive and considerate of our needs and the price was very reasonable.

Our 1860 sq ft home had original oak hardwood in a honey oak that we wanted to refinish to its natural state in order to modernize the look of the house. We also removed a pony wall and the corner pantry in the kitchen and the flooring needed to be feathered in in those areas.
Cal came by to take a look and give us a quote and his knowledge and professionalism made us instantly hire him. His quote came in at a reasonable cost and he was able to meet my strict timeline before we needed to move in.
His crews worked over the weekend to ensure the job was done and I couldn't be happier with the work.
There was one area upstairs that was damaged by his crews and when I mentioned it to him he was adamant on doing what was needed to make it right.
Excellent workmanship and excellent customer service.

Update: its been 7 months since Cal and his crews redid our floors and they still look amazing! The color is perfect and they have stood up to kids and dogs. Couldnt be happier.
