Kitchen table and chairs

Not happy with service. They do not return my call or fixed the problem.custom made table and chairs are supposed to be classic look but the legs on the table are rustic look. They got my money so I guess they are happy it doesn't matter about the customer. They don't deal well with unhappy customers. So if you don't complain you will like it there but if you are not happy with what you get and expect them to fix it then you better not go there.

Don't stand behind their product

I purchased a bedroom set and 2 custom sectionals. Within 2 weeks of receiving the Comfort Style custom sectionals, the fabric started wrinkling and puckering. I went back to the store and the sales person contacted Comfort Style. The options given to me was to send just the cushions back to Comfort Style to have a denser foam inserted as their thought was that the foam was too soft. This process was going to take 4-6 weeks. Not being able to be without couches for this span of time, I ended up having to take all the cushions into the store, which is 2 cities away, unzip the fabric, remove the foam and put the new foam in on my own with one of the associates working at the store. This was no easy task and took more than 2 hours. Of course, it doesn't look like it did when it came from the factory. A few weeks after this, the same problem was occurring. With no convenient way to solve this issue I was stuck with $3800 worth of old looking couches. The fabric is sub-par and has too much stretch in it so it loses shape. We are not big people by any means so this should not be happening especially since I have a much older, cheaper couch in microfiber which has not done this and still looks brand new. I would not recommend purchasing couches from Comfort Style or St. Jacobs Furniture House because if you have an issue, they make it too inconvenient for you to get a resolution. They could have simply manufactured new sectionals and did a swap without inconveniencing the customers so much. Instead, they lost a future customer and many more. St. Jacobs Furniture House has washed their hands of the issue and were not helpful.

therapedic mattress (not worth the money)

Purchased a therapedic mattress in June of 2013. It sags in the middle. It is fine if you stay on the side of the mattress but as soon as you get close to the middle it sags. Had someone from the store to come over and they measured the mattress, it has a 1 1/2 " sag and the mattress company said it is normal wear and tear. Would not recommend this product. A lot of money for just 4 years.

Poorest quality

I bought several things and all of them were total garbage. The table scratched easily just playing cards, the chairs broke apart after 2 months, bed frame has cracked and now fallen apart. I would not recommend this store. While it looks like a nice show room, 100% of their products are Asian crap. My mom bought a table on the same day, she has had it replaced, but the replacement is also poor quality and shows all the marks from simple use.

Furniture

We purchased our bedroom and dining room furniture. We were very happy with the service throughout the sale. Our bedroom set was Ashley, we compared at the Ashley store and STJ was a lower price by about $500, as well as their shipping price was lower too. They delivered to our home and nothing was damaged, my husband was very impressed with the delivery guys. They cleaned everything up and it was spotless after they put everything together for our bedroom. We had a horrible expericence with another furniture company but will definitely return to STFH.

Dining Room Furniture

I went to St.Jacob's Furniture to buy a new hutch with the money my wife and I got from our wedding. The service at the initial sale was fine, but once they had our deposit they turned into the worst company I have ever had to deal with.

They claimed we would have our hutch in around 2 weeks. 6 weeks later it showed up, and looked like someone had attacked it with a hockey stick: gashes, dents, even the glass was scratched. I refused delivery.

Rather than apologize and try to make things right, the company acted as though the hutch was fine, and t was my problem that after now two months (and counting) I don't have a hutch. They have refused to offer a refund, they have never apologized, and have been obstinate, self-righteous, and outright rude every time I have had to deal with them. Getting them to re-order a replacement unit has been more painful than a root canal. Avoid this store at all costs.
