Sweet talk to get the sale- empathy quotient zero
We recently bought a home with bedrock homes. We were given a date to remove the conditions, three days after putting the offer. We jumped hoops to get the conditions removed. While the process was ongoing we were told that the possession would be as close to the date when we vacate our current premises. But once it was all done, deposits paid we have been given a date 17 days away. We have kids and limited mobility senior.
We will be made to pay for the accommodation for over a fortnight ( running upto 2500$ approximately)
disrupting our lives upside down, be it our work or our kids school etc .
The pressure to close and then deflect on what was promised, leaving us high and dry in the winter, using technicality is reprehensible. We were told that city inspection cant be done by then. Guess what we did wait it out for the said time period. And the inspection failed. Now we are getting the house but without the gas range which was the primary reason why the delay happened.
The area sales manager tried and Ill give her the credit where its due but this customer service is beyond awful .
What bothers me the most is that there is zero empathy or accountability or even acknowledgement for all the trouble were experiencing not counting the fact that them not keeping their verbal commitment ruined our diwali celebration.
Makes me regret in believing in the sweet talk to get the sale and actually believing that theyll keep what they promised verbally and over texts.
and then show zero effort to make good of the troubles we experienced. Their consolation is a garage for storage (which we paid the full insurance for ) and a freaking hot plate for cooking 3 meals for a family of 5 for 6 days because why shouldnt we have extra chaos in our lives.
When it came to negotiating they wouldnt budge a penny but when it comes o botched inspection they shrug the hands off because its trades and not them. Are there trades people some rogue elements that bedrock has nothing to do with??
this is hands down, one of the most unprofessional experiences of my life.
