As with so many others we purchased a custom dining room table and bench from KJ in July-2014. After the estimated delivery date had come and gone we contacted the store but no replies. We discovered that the store on Queen St E. had closed but no warning from the owner, Jack. After many worried calls and e-mails (90% unanswered) we were provided a new estimated delivery date which also came and went without update. On the 3rd attempt our table/bench was due to be delivered on a Friday evening- as this was important to resolve we cancelled personal plans. 5mins after the scheduled tine we received a call from Jacks female friend to say he was stuck in traffic and would deliver it the next week. After much argument the table was delivered the next day. At the time of arrival it looked in good condition and acceptable - we thought our dilemma was over. 7 weeks later the table base developed serious cracks (2cm wide). We contacted Jack with no response for 4 weeks. Eventually he confirmed he would order a new base. 8 more weeks go by without any communications or confirmations. This week Jack advised that KJ is in bankruptcy and the trustee will contact us. He will not reply to mails any more for additional information. This company is out of business due to low quality products and exceptionally poor customer service. Regardless of being in "bankruptcy" he still sells his furniture to unsuspecting customers on Facebook. Biggest regret of our life dealing with this company/owner.

Kimberley Jackson took our deposit for a custom dining table before closing their store on Queen St East. After months of unresponsiveness, we managed to recover our deposit from Visa. Seems from their Facebook site they are now trying to take new orders but have not dealt with previous customers (as per other review sites, such as blogTO). Would advise caution.

We recently remodeled our entire home and added a gas fireplace. We needed a mantle top that would be the focal point of our room.
Naturally, we went to Kimberly Jackson to see if they had any available in the store that we could buy. Sadly they didn't have any but
we were very happy to see Jack there in the store. We met him a few times before as we have purchased many pieces of furniture
from there. Although they have moved away from some of their custom work, Jack agreed to make us a mantle for our fireplace.
We gave him the measurements and the color we wanted, nothing too fancy just a nice piece of thick stained wood. He assured us he knew exactly what we wanted.
When we got the call that it was ready we eagerly went down to the store to pick it up. WOW, it was better then we could have imagined and more then
we had asked for. It was a beautiful piece of reclaimed barn beam that fit perfectly into it's place on top of our fire place. We are so happy when family and friends
drop in and compliment us on how beautiful it looks. We are also happy to add to the history of this by explaining that this piece of the beam was used as a support
to hold a ladder that went to the upper part of this barn and show them the circular holes on the underside where the ladder rungs once were.
Thank you so much Jack, for giving us another amazing piece that our family will enjoy for years to come. You out did yourself.

I scoped out Kimberley Jackson a while ago as I LOVED their product. They make beautiful reclaimed wood units at extremely reasonable prices. I finally moved into a home that had room for a custom built buffet and hutch and immediately thought of Kimberley Jackson. Jack was extremely friendly and accommodating. While I could have bought something off the floor he suggested he custom build it for the same price to get exactly what I wanted. I did that and he even met my timeline and provided same day delivery upon final payment. I also purchased a fantastic coffee table from them as well as a bunch of reclaimed wood chalkboards. I will go back and purchase more items from them (when I have room ;). It is high quality and the price is very reasonable.

Beautiful Craftsmanship!

We have bought a beautiful dining room buffet as well as the accompanying upper cabinet and they were courteous and accommodating and even went as far as to ensure that the two pieces had the exact stain colour! They are realistic about delivery times - when they say 8-12 weeks it is exactly that. The furniture they make is sturdy, great quality and long lasting.

If you are looking for rustic/modern furniture this is your spot!

I had a really bad experience with this company and cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone.

They only take cash and expected the bulk of payment up front (what business doesn't take credit cards?) and then they made every excuse in the book as to why they couldn't deliver the furniture I had paid for months after the promised completion date.

They would promise to call me back and then wouldn't. They didn't respond to voicemail messages I left. And then made weird excuses about "cash flow" when I tried to get a refund. I would definitely recommend doing some research before doing business with these folks.

Kimberley Jackson has absolutely wonderful furniture and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I have made to purchases at KJ and both times have been more than satisfied. The quality of the products are amazing and the prices are more than reasonable. I would highly recommend checking it out.

My partner and I go in to KJ every chance we get (we are a little obsessed!).

We have had such an incredible experience with Jack and have found so many amazing pieces for our home in Leslieville.

The service has always been top notch and we can't wait to buy more pieces in the future.

I have just renovated my home and have bought several pieces from Kimberley Jackson. First of all, walking into the store you are instantly in love with every piece you see. Each so unique and hand crafted. Quality pieces that will last a life-time. I found the staff extremely helpful and I have had great customer service experiences. For those that complain custom pieces take time, I say, well duh! Walk into any brick, Leon's or big box store and purchase one of their off the line, a million like it pieces, and you will be waiting minimum 6-8 weeks to receive this made by machine, substandard quality piece. I have not had a single person walk into my home and not drool over my incredibly original Kimberley Jackson purchases. I can't get enough. I am currently having a my powder room vanity designed and made by Kimberley Jackson. I would recommend you go into the store and see for yourself before taking reviews seriously. If you love stunning quality furniture, you will not be walking out without buying. Have sent 3 ppl to the store and not one has left without owning a piece of this furniture.

I wish I would have read the reviews first! My husband and I ordered a table a month ago. The man working said I could have the exact table top I found and the exact legs I sourced from the back of the store. I was elated! My perfect table! We were called in a month after ordering to discuss some details. Turns out our order has not even started, they had my table specs all wrong, and I can't have the table top I selected bc they sold it. Looks like we are back where we started. I am thinking we will be waiting much longer for the finished piece.
