Firm Fence

We contracted firm fence to install approx. 50 linear ft of pressure treated fence (4x4 and 6x6 posts). Material from a Big Box Retailer was ordered and dropped on our driveway. Work was completed.

Within the year, the majority of the posts showed signs of twisting. Speaking with the vendor they said they would come assess which resulted in no remediation (it was not to get any worse). Two years later (After a winter and into spring), some of the more critical posts are severely twisting - almost seems like it will twist itself out of the ground.

It's not listed on the website, but they speak of a 1-year warranty on the work - which is useless if they don't come to address the issue in year 1. And don't let the CFIA affiliation fool you into thinking that there's some association that upholds a level of quality or ethics for this vendor. In fact after checking today, this vendor doesn't even appear on their member list but the logo is still on the website.

This is a small shop in etobicoke, the admin staff are horrid to deal with and probably the worst part of the experience. If you're like me and expect contracted work to be done without issues then I would stay away from this vendor. If you like having to follow up multiple times by phone, email, listen to the admin staff speak poorly about you as they pass the phone over, being ignored, and own a fence with issues then by all means give them a call.
