Frontline Home Inspections

James performed a home inspection on a home that we were buying. All of the other conditions had come off but as soon as James did the home inspection we walked away from the purchase. He found a number of issues, (some major and many minor) that we had not seen ourselves. Not only did he see these problems that we had not, he was also extremely professional. I highly recommend him.

James from Frontline Home Inspections came by to do an inspection for us as we are nearing the end of the 1 year warranty period. Our builder has been very poor at responding to do anything that needs fixed, repaired and deficient or damaged when we took possession so we have been wondering how to proceed with these issues. The delinquency list was just getting longer and we were concerned with what other things we don't know about or what the underlying problems are. We have been very frustrated with our builder whom has no integrity and no desire to do anything for us since he got paid, so now just keeps telling us stories and does nothing to rectify his poor craftsmanship and damage done (we bought a spec home so didn't build this home ourselves as it was 95% done at the time). Beware the builders in Kinniburgh in Chestermere, lots of complaints from neighbours on many builders here. James is extremely knowledgeable on home inspection and very quick to see things that our realtor's inspector either missed or failed to mention to us prior to us buying this home. His knowledge on builders, the building codes, warranty, and the whole process of relationship between all parties is eye opening on how the system really works and what you can expect for your efforts so you don't waste your time and energy on avenues that might just not get you anywhere. We are definitely more educated and have a more clear direction on what we need to do going forward because of our meeting with James. There is a basic inspection they can do or a more detailed type that would help you in a lawsuit, or at least let you know the real reason for deficiencies and problems in your home from shortcuts and cheap routes the builders have taken. I would use him on all future inspections as he has integrity and is looking out for your interest in all aspects, I can't say that about any other inspectors I have used in the past as they all seem to have close ties to the realtors you hire and their interests likely sway away from you, the client. Highly recommend for inspection on new and old homes as he will ensure you are informed as possible to make that large $$ purchase on a home.

James is very professional. He found many problems of the house we purchased. He is an independent inspector, he wont avoid potential problems like some realtors, he only care about his clients. He even spent some extra time and offered us suggestions for some critical issues for our house. We are totally impressed and pleased with his knowledge, expertise and the great service. He will try to make clients understand everything even though Chinese is our first language. Highly recommended and will do business again with James

I can't say enough positive things about James M. He was knowledgable, thorough, and very easy to talk to. I appreciated the extra time he spent on our home inspection as well as the amazingly detailed report he provided. He was on-time, and had our report to us in the same night. My father, who is a carpenter, was very impressed when he read through the report, and was confident in James' knowledge. We purchased the house, know what immediate renovations need to be done, and we're able to bargain with the sellers on a plumbing issue that James pointed out. We will seek out James if we buy another house, as his price is fair, and his service is unmatchable.

I put an offer on a home that recently had a deal fall through. There had been a recent home inspection completed which was given to me, however I decided to call James to do another inspection. His dedication to detail and patients in walking me through the inspection was second to none. His report was a good 20 pages longer than the previous inspection. After the inspection I felt confident that I was aware of any potential problems with the property. I went ahead with purchase confident in what I was buying. Which as a first time home buyer was a great relief.

This was our second time using the service of James from Frontline in the last 5 years.
Once again we were extremely pleased with his professional approach and the results of his report.
James inspected our current house when we bought it in 2009, we were relocating from outside the province and to have his experience with the local construction history and codes was very valuable. His report became our "do to" list.
We recently decided to move to a larger home (2014) and did not hesitate to call James again. I value James because he works for us not the Realtor, his report is factual and complete, and he does a very thorough job. He has in-depth knowledge and takes the time to explain what he sees, both as he sees it and in his follow up report. If you're thinking of buying a new or resale home I recommend you have James look at it first. It was great value and money well spent
