Smart Space

We recently underwent an extensive home renovation and decided to have a central audio/visual system installed. We came across SmartSpace at a home expo show and were very impressed with what they had done and their recommendations on what we could put in our home. We are very pleased with the selection of product, installation and service. Love the ability to play music, watch TV etc using iphone or ipad anywhere in the house. I highly recommend SmartSpace for any audio/visual needs you may have.

We chose Smart Space to install a home automation system in our new custom home just outside of Calgary based on a recommendation from friends. We couldn’t be happier with the RTI/Sonos/Securtec products and the wonderful service provided by Adrian and the rest of the SmartSpace team.

We originally requested two quotes – the first to wire our new home and the second to install the full system at a later date. We really appreciated the “no-pressure” approach by the sales team, simply allowing us to take our time and understanding that we had a budget to consider. When we got closer to moving into our new home we couldn’t wait to enjoy the system so then arranged for the full setup in our kitchen, den, home theater, gym and master BR which was done quickly and professionally by the installation team. They coordinated seamlessly with our builder, TELUS and the satellite folks, going above and beyond in terms of ensuring we were satisfied with the final product. Adrian made himself readily available to answer questions and even came out to give us an orientation to all of the features of the system.

Living in a rural setting is new to us and we’ve found that power failures are fairly typical but we’ve been using the system for about a year and have had absolutely no technical issues whatsoever. The system is reliable and integrates perfectly with the service providers. We are confident we’ll be enjoying our system for years to come and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SmartSpace to anyone considering a home automation system!

My wife and I had Smart Space wire our house with security, RTI panel ( home is run off Apple products ) and our bonus room. The guys did a great job and the customer service was very good. They responded well to all of our issues. Smart Space offers high end equipment with a wide range for all price ranges. We are very satisfied with our experience as a whole and would recommend them.

We recently built our new home with Shane Home and SmartSpace Technologies was the company who was doing our basic wiring such as telephone etc. We ended up getting the RTI system installed which is AWESOME!! I was very fussy during the home building process and indicated I wanted NO CORDS visible anywhere in the house where TV's were installed. We also have a 7.1 system installed in the basement with AWESOME custom soundframes to go along with our 80" TV and exposed A/V rack by the furnace room. In addition to this, we also installed SONOS in the kitchen and master bedroom ensuite...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Both my husband and I have no idea about anything when it comes to all this technology, and the team at SmartSpace was INCREDIBLE in terms of helping us understand geeky language in real people talk! Their workmanship and attention to detail was outstanding. Not to mention the support we received from everyone was beyond exceptional! I would recommend SmartSpace in a heart beat.

On behalf of my wife and myself I would like to thank the Smart Space Team for their outstanding work on my new lighting, automation and theater systems. We recently completed a major renovation to our house which in it's self was a major challenge. The construction of our lighting, automation and theatre systems was built seamlessly without issue. When minor issues came up, which can be expected from any system of this type, the smart space team jumped on them and resolved them right away. Their professionalism to meet the clients needs is outstanding. During our pricing and preconstruction phase, we tendered this scope of work. Smart Spaces' prices were very competitive within the market we were looking at. Their sales team, in our opinion, set them apart from the rest. There was no BS, no overselling of products and they helped us pick the system that was custom tailored to our needs. I could have paid allot more for a system that we did not need. The system installed is perfect. During construction the rough in team was superb. Wiring was run neat and tidy and they were very conscious of other trades work. During the finish stage Smart Space spent considerable amount of time fine tuning and perfecting the system, I mean in every little detail to perfection. During the commissioning stage, some minor issues came up but were dealt with the very next day. With all the trades that were part of the construction of our house, I have to say Smart Space was by far the best.

In addition I am an owner of a commercial construction firm in Calgary and I have dealt with allot of trades in my career. Dealing with Smart Space was a pleasure, and by far one of the best trades I have dealt with in a long time. Geoff, Adrian keep it up guys, you are sure to go a long ways

We had the utmost confidence in the knowledge and ability of the team who wired the house for the integrated system. Our feedback from the site managers regarding the installation of wiring was always positive. Your team met timelines and worked cooperatively with site management.

At this time, the effort and knowledge provided by smartSPACE Technologies are evident by the fantastic home system we are now able to enjoy in our new home. The installation team who set up the system and components did a great job as proven by an integrated system that works extremely well. We have had no problems with operating any of the systems and even if there was an issue, we feel totally confident that smartSPACE would be there to provide support and rectify any problems.

In the process of our custom home construction, we have had many experiences with many trades. In our opinion, smart SPACE Technologies not only met, but exceeded our expectations for knowledge and service. Our confidence in smartSPACE Technologies never waned. The proof is in the product. I recently developed my basement using SmartSpace for my media requirements, as well have used them in the past. My dealings with them have always been easy and enjoyable when they could be difficult and confusing. They clearly explain any question you may have, as well are up front and honest about all components of the job. I would strongly recommend using SmartSpace if you are taking on a job requiring the skills they have to offer. As mentioned, I have done it multiple times and would gladly do it again in the future.

My husband and I purchased a new home a year ago and Smart Space had installed the Smart Home Automation System both the Entertainment and Home Security. We made some personal changes and were very pleased with Geoff, Matt and the rest of the crew who all spent considerable time on the project. They were professional and helpful. Geoff, Matt and Josh are very prompt in responding to anything that comes up, be it power surges ( new neighborhood) to adding more TV systems throughout our home. Geoff, you've created a Masterpiece!! I completed a custom home in Altadore last year and selected smartSPACE after talking to virtually every home automation company in Calgary. I selected smartSPACE because Geoff provided endless options to meet our list of unreasonable demands at the most competitive price. I worked with Geoff right at the design stage of our home and as a result he helped design features and add functionality that I didn't know was possible without contacting NASA. I will list some of very cool features that Geoff helped to design: Lutron lighting with keypads that control everything from the fireplaces, electrical outlets, electric drawers in my kitchen, fans and oh ya...the lights too! 16 zones of audio with 2 TV areas that have custom sized sound bars, base subs and no receivers or cable boxes to be seen anywhere but in the 2 racks in my basement that I call the "Brain". Our 7.2 movie theatre with in wall speakers, acoustic panels and custom colour speaker grills makes a trip to the Movie Theatre obsolete! The security system is integrated with the lighting and outdoor speakers, I have witnessed construction workers in the neighborhood take cover when the alarm is tested as it sounds like an air raid siren with flashing lights that make the house look like it is going to self destruct...very subtle!
