Classicview Additions Design Build

I did an online search and got three quotes from different companies. Classic View wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive (they were in the middle) but after they came out to our house I did some research on them and their referrals and we decided to use them. In the end we were frustrated because of how long the job took, but it wasn't that bad. We're very happy with the end result now that it's all done.

I found Classic View from an internet search and I had bids from three companies all together. What I liked about the company was that the prices were good and they were able to start within my timelines (originally to complete the work from Feb to late May/early June). I also found Omri to be easy going, outgoing, and someone I could work well with. He is a great communicator, had some great ideas, quick in his responses and very cooperative. His team was conscientious, courteous and hard working. All but one of his sub-contractors were competent and also polite. My only sore point was that things started off super and although we were ahead of schedule in many ways,5% of the job dragged on (and on) at the tail end of the job. Omri did let me know that things would be slower, but I had hoped that it wouldn't take as long as it did. I'm very happy with the end results though, and would recommend Classic View.

They had a posting on a house not far from mine in the neighbourhood, so I took the number and called. I compared prices with other companies first but the prices at Classic View were better. I also spoke to Omri and did a couple of negotiations with him until we got the contract. They did an extension to my bungalow two years ago and I had a great experience with them. They did a great job.

Omri from Classic view had us hooked with his salesman tricks of giving us the feeling we are the only customers he cares about. He built our house in 3 months during that time we rented (full market price) Omri's basement apartment. with in Omri moved us in with a lot of finishing work to be done. The payment schedule was over and thus the company's attention... It took more than 5 months of unprofessional and below standard work with weeks in between of workers showing up . Six months after we moved in we found out we don't have a certification of occupancy from the city! Basically we are not suppose to be living in the house!!!!
Contructor damaged neighbor's wall promising to fix it promply, a year past and the wall is still damaged.
Classic view had a great to build our house but not to finish it! We are left with two page list of work you are not expected to do when you move into a renovated house and to finish a house inspection so we can be legally living in our house. Contractor thinks his time is better spent working than meeting and communicating with his clients.
He invited client to see the house in the first 3 months but no prospective client came to see the house after we moved in. they missed the finishing stage...
Classic view says the house is "completely done"! But final Inspection was never completed. I invite any prospective clients to contact me and come see the "amazing" finishing work they have done.
Classic view had no response for BBB and for the past 4 month been saying we will be sued us for the remaining balance. they have placed a lien in false pretenses on our property. Beware! If you are using them already, have a penelty close in the contract, get everything (including gifts...) in writing! Don't trust them! Business is business! Be smart

My husband and I required the full conversion of a semi detached duplex, built in the early 1960’s, into a single family home. The semi required extensive renovation and updating. After an exhaustive search for the right contractor, which included a detailed bill of material and an official tender to multiple contractors, my husband and I confidently selected Classic View. From the get-go, Omri responded positively and energetically to all of our queries. His attention to detail in the proposal, along with adherence to his quote (It’s his guarantee!) , assured us were in the hands of a trustworthy and experienced contractor. Classic View won the bid easily and the interior demolition began on April 4, 2011.
During the spring of 2011 my husband and I were both working long hours, far away from the construction site. Omri and his team made us an active part of the transformation during this time: Picture updates; Text message status updates; Weekly meetings in the evenings, on site. The Classic View team worked very long hours each day, and with the consistent communication coming from Omri, we were made to feel at ease with the large scope of changes happening daily at the house.
Throughout the renovation, we would deviate from the original design, on occasion, based on recommendations from Omri and team. These changes enhanced spaces, created better traffic flow, and took into account more abstract ideas that blue print planning often misses, such as repositioning a window to better enhance natural lighting in a room . You’re not just getting a contractor when you hire Omri, you are getting someone who is versed in design, someone who understands the practical and the aesthetic and knows how to merge the two.
During the most intense part of the renovation, when all the elements were coming together, Omri remained in constant contact with us along with timelines and his goals which made us feel involved. It was a stressful time in our lives, but now that the renovation is complete and we have a brand new beautiful home (and perfect little baby girl!) we could not be happier.
The contracting industry can be a daunting and scary place for people like us who do not know the industry intimately (Holmes on Homes, anyone?). We were lucky to have found Omri and Classic View. No question. They proved themselves to be quality contractors and trustworthy individuals - resulting in a beautiful house that we are very proud of.

We had 12 contractors (not exaggerating) who gave us quotes for our addition. But for whatever reason we were not comfortable with them. Then we met Omri, owner of Classic View Home Renovations, and we found him knowledgeable, professional and kind. His team was hardworking, punctual and polite. Omri always informed us before starting any work on step by step basis. It was very helpful because we did not move out of our house. We were impressed with the quality of their work.He gave us 13 weeks and they actually finished in 13 weeks. Our families and friends said the word "wow" the minute they entered our house. This was a major addition that included a new kitchen, flooring and significant rework to existing rooms. From the initial design to the garden lawn replacement, Omri and his team of craftsmen were superb. They delivered what they said they would, lived up to all promises and delivered on time and on budget.
We have subsequently recommended Classic View to our friends and when they have done work for them, they have only had good things to say.
We were very pleased with our choice, would use Classic View without hesitation if the occassion presented itself and would have no hesitation recomending them for any similar (large or small) work.
