The company was easy to deal with. We were in contact with our designer fairly regularly, especially during the planning phases. The contractors were pretty good but we found it was best to have someone there while they were working to point out small issues that needed correcting.

I contracted MR Kitchens do a complete kitchen reno starting June 2017 (flooring, lighting, electrical, plumbing, cabinets, etc...). When we signed on with MR Kitchen it wasn't clear that we would be dealing with 5 different entities each responsible their own separate portion of the project. The separate groups (MR designer, MR Olstin, MR Kitchen cabinets, Olstin subcontractor, subcontractor's electrician) in itself is not necessarily a problem, but the complete lack of project management and guidance between the various parties led to mass confusion and misunderstandings.

The designer (Caitlyn) was quite good and pleasant to deal with. She has a good eye for colour and style selection. The project manager Jean Michel is for the most part absent and missing in action until there's an opportunity to bill the customer for slightest change in scope. The project manager isn't a project manager, he's really just a Billing Agent. The Olstin subcontractors were in general quite good, but at times were difficult to deal with but that is mostly because of a lack of communication and/or incorrect and outdated scope of work documentation by the so-called project manager. For example, we were supposed to have in floor heating installed, but because Olstin, subcontractor and electricians are not well coordinated, the in floor heating went unnoticed until it was too late (new flooring completed).

The quality of the cabinets (MR kitchen VARS ON) was not all that impressive. Many deficiencies that took weeks to correct. The quality of the doors and assembled cabinets were not much better than would you can purchase from Ikea or Home Depot. MR Kitchen charges a premium price for their cabinets, but the attention to detail is lacking and the willingness to correct deficiencies is also missing. Nobody wants to be without their kitchen 8+ weeks waiting for all the deficiencies to be remedied. In my case, it seemed that the strategy of the MR Kitchen Cabinet Installation Manager was to drag his feet in regards to the corrections and hope that I would eventually accept all or most of deficiencies without being corrected.

All in all not a good experience. If you are asthmatic or have children who are asthmatic I would definitely advise against MR Kitchen and their subcontractors. The lack of cleanup and lack of tarping to contain the spread of large amounts of dry wall dust, saw dust, and other powders certainly posed a clean air problem for us. I would instead recommend you find a contractor who makes use of zippered barriers to prevent the spread of dust from sanding and tile cutting, throughout the house.

We had a good experience renovating our kitchen. MR Kitchens designer Earl did a fantastic job envisioning a new concept for our kitchen which involved relocating our refrigerator and oven and installing new cabinets. The design maximized our counter space and made our kitchen much more user friendly. Thanks to Project Co Coordinator Jean-Michel and the installation team for a job well done. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend MR Kitchens for your kitchen renovation project.

I had a great experience with MR Kitchens. The cost was reasonable. The designer was very knowledgeable and helpful. The installers were excellent! I now have a beautiful kitchen. Time to learn how to cook!

I am very pleased with all aspects of the selection, purchase and installation of my kitchen cabinets from Mr Kitchen. I watch all of the renovation shows on the DIY network and have seen many kitchen installation disasters. I learned by watching these shows that the solution to avoid a kitchen disaster is to select a professional company whose experienced staff provide detailed explanations concerning what they will do to install your new kitchen. Mr Kitchen staff provided detailed explanations throughout the process of selecting and installing my new kitchen, including explanations concerning what to do if I had issues with the installation of my kitchen cabinets. I am very pleased to report that I did not have a negative experience concerning the installation of our kitchen which was a direct result of the professionalism of Mr Kitchen’s staff. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering purchasing a new kitchen.

Our designer, Melissa was very helpful with the kitchen design.
The cabinets were delivered on time and the time for installation was accurate.
The company had quality checks through out the process and the Service Dept. was there to make sure that the cabinets and work done were professional and good quality.
We were happy with our choice in this company and recommend them.

This kitchen was to be finished Oct 16, 2016 ,,,,, finally finished Jan 3, 2017. The problem started right from the start. The installer started the job, left to drop off his helper at another job that he had a problem with, came back, worked a little more and then told me he had to leave at 1:00 to attend a funeral. He arrived the next work day, told me he was short some trim and wouldn't be able to finish. Left to pick up his helper around 11:00 and never came back,
I have to admit the "quality control" guys are EXCELLENT. They came in , noticed the damage cupboard and the big gaps in the trim. and ordered the replacement parts, Of course multi week delays. When that arrived they decided that all the trim had to replaced again more multi week delays. After that was installed, they noticed that they were missing 2 more pieces of trim. again more multi week delays,. The final trim arrived mid Dec but couldn't be installed until Jan 3, 2017.

This company seems to do all the right things, "quality control" inspectors, final survey regarding the job, but after filling out the survey and sending an email and leaving a voice message no response to my concerns. I would have rated then higher if they had responded to my email or voice message.
The biggest problem is lack of communication, between staff, installers, and factory The final job looks good but I would not use them again.

We're very pleased with the results. I have a very functional kitchen after 35 years.
We were very pleased with the attention to detail and the professionalism of the company.
Would recommend it to anyone thinking of remodeling their kitchen.

We contracted with this company for our complete kitchen renovations. We received good advice from the designer and the work was delivered on time. The after installation service was good.

We are very pleased with our new kitchen. We found the whole process seamless including the design work with Earl, picking of cabinets and counter top, the construction and then the finished product. Every thing went according to schedule.
We quickly gained confidence in Earl as he skillfully guided us through the design process. He offered a couple of suggestions which made the kitchen more functional and helped each step along the way. He never rushed us and in the end the design worked perfectly and turned into a beautiful finished product.

The quality of the cabinet workmanship is excellent and will meet our needs in the years to come. We believe we received good value for the cost.
