We have had mixed experiences with Mr Rooter - they did excellent timely work on an emergency sewer line backup we had so we called to plan sewer line replacement for us - they cancelled 2 appointments to scope our line at the last minute (my husband took time off work for these appointments) then "delayed" a scheduled third appointment for a scoping (they did not know when they would actually delay it until) 30 minutes before that appointment. So, while Mr Rooter was great on our emergency, Mr Rooter was very unreliable at showing up for our bigger, non-emergency project. We can understand one appointment being cancelled because of someone else's emergency but three times? It did not give us much assurance that our large sewer replacement might go well, so we will be using another company for that.

We called Mr Rooter and they efficiently booked us an appointment to unplug our kitchen sink. We are happy with the work. Our sink was unplugged and the employee wore booties over his work boots which we appreciated when he was in our home. He also placed a protective covering over our kitchen floor and then placed his equipment and tools on top of the drop sheet. The cost was very high but they did what they said they would do which was unplug our sink. They guarantee no plugs for 90 days - if you do have a plug you call them and they will come out and unplug - has to be the same problem. They do not give you a quote over the phone but quote before they start the job and which time you have to decide whether or not to go forward. They came out to our job during normal work hours during the day. Only comment is that price is high.

This was a very challenging job that had to be done in two parts due to the lousy initial installation done by the horrible plumber hired by our builder (he used electrical tape to fasten something!) and the substandard product used on the initial install. The plumber (Jeff) was meticulous, patient, timely, and friendly. He explained what needed to be done in detail, why it was required, and answered any questions I had in a respectful manner. When there was a potential delay in the parts, he contacted me to let me know well in advance. Anyone I spoke with at Mr. Rooter was also friendly and helpful. This is the first company I would call if I had plumbing issues in the future - excellent, honest service and a premium quality job. Pricing seemed fair, especially for the magnitude of the job and the quality of work done - worth every penny.

Mr Rooter was able to come by to give me a quote the same day I called them. The gentleman was efficient and knowledgeable. The quote provided was half the price of my other 3 quotes and the gentleman had all the parts in stock- he came the following day for the install. Great quality & pricing.

We developed our basement and needed the drain moved in the floor. When they come in they have their own mat to put their shoes on so they don't dirty yours. They lay their tool box on a separate mat as well. The guy was very friendly and did the work quickly and was on his way.

I called Mr Rooter when my renters shower was clogged and wouldn't drain. Initially it looked like a simple fix but my house is fairly old and the drain isn’t a modern pee trap. When Mr Rooter was unable to snake it because of this it looked like they would need to replace the drain by removing the tub and chipping out the concrete. I wasn’t excited about this but did understand that the pipes were very old and went into the cement. However, while I was trying to decided what to do their plumber took shot at trying to fix it by hand using a plunger, a drain cleaner and a lot of elbow grease. After a few minutes it started to go a bit faster and after about 15 minutes of working it drained like new. It’s been a couple of months and everything’s been great. I would definitely use them again.

I was satisfied with the sevices of this company.They were quick and efficient. I would recommend them them to my friends and also use them again for any future problems.

Main drain in our basement was plugged on New Year's Eve. No other plumber would come that day and we had company coming. Mr. Rooter was onsite in less than an hour. A bit pricy to clear the drain, but did come with a 3 year warranty. Great service!

Very positive experience with this company. They were able to come out very quickly (even though it wasn't an emergency, they were still very responsive), and I'm quite satisfied with the service and product. Price-wise they were in the middle of quotes I received - definitely not the lowest, but not the highest either. Given the quality of the product, the time and attention he paid to the work (and on educating me about the options, what needed to be done and why, etc...) the removal of the old system, and the after-inspection of the rest of the plumbing system as well, I feel like I got good value for the money.

Also, an interesting note on their "Advantage Plan" membership - I really liked how they had a sheet that they would show you that was a full list of product prices and exactly what the discounted membership price was as well. This was refreshing in comparison to another company we've dealt with, where we were supposedly getting a discount, but given that they just pulled prices (high ones, at that!) out of thin air we had absolutely no way of knowing.
