Great experience

I'm not sure how the bad reviews came about, but I hade nothing but positive experiences with this company.
When I purchased the door, the delivery and instalation was done on time. The price was competitive and I chose to support a small local business. No sales tactics, just honest product presentation.
The quality of the work was great, as I did not need to recall them for a few years. When the door needed a little tune up, they showed up on time.

Weatherstrip replacement

Unbelievably poor service...scheduled for work last week, no show, no call, finally get them end of day woman has no clue...rescheduled for the next week, Tuesday...Tuesday i call so im not waiting all day, again woman has no clue....tells me no nothing scheduled for today, he has installs, he'll come tomorrow....seriously! That's enough, had enough went elsewhere....poorest customer service i have ever received from ANY COMPANY!!!!

Replacement garage door

Tom was instrumental in helping me get replacement doora from CHI. He jumped in when they would not replace them when were rusting for no valud reason. Without him helping explain that we were not throwing salt at the door or lived bear factories or the ocean. I am sure i would have had to purchase new ones. Thank you Superior and Tom for helping me to navigate through ans resolve a stressful situation

Terrible service

Do not buy doors from these people. You can never get a hold of them. They tell you they are coming at a certain time and they don't show and don't call. Very unprofessional. We haven't had our doors 1 year and the paint is bubbling. The painter mistakenly painted both sides our custom dark colour and then tried to paint over it white... terrible job...the couple is unprofessional and inconsiderate.... Shouldn't be in the business....

Terrible Customer Service!!

Had our garage door installed in July 2020. They forgot to order the hardware we paid extra for, and forgot to write down that we wanted the capping replaced. No problem, we will figure it out. Garage door gets installed, but the capping is done only on ‘Tuesdays’ with weather permitting. Fine. September rolls around... was told they would be here on a Tuesday, no show, called them again, oh yes it might be late OCT?! Was told they’d be here on a Friday. No show, but they only do the capping on Tuesday’s?! Fast forward - it’s now mid NOV, and NO Capping, no call, left a message and no return call. Terrible. Service. I would never in a million years recommend them. UPDATE: cancelled for us again, said maybe Thursday, when I told her we are going elsewhere, she got mad, yelled at me, said other customers have been waiting longer and proceeded to hang up on me. TERRIBLE. UPDATE: I would just like respond to the company’s reply to my review... NOT once was I ‘abusive’ speaking to the ‘receptionist’, when I called her back on the Monday - because she hadn’t responded to my husband’s voicemails from the Thursday prior, in regard to them NOT showing up on the Tues OR Wed., we were miraculously on schedule for the next day, weather permitting of course... I get a call back saying, ‘he cannot come until Thursday now’. At this point I have already called another company, because I knew full well I would NOT see them that week. When I explained to her we had waited FOUR months and we would go elsewhere to get it done, she rudely yelled at me, I couldn’t even speak to her she was yelling so rudely, and then proceeded to hang up on me. She DID NOT follow her so called protocol of ‘politely ending the conversation’. FAR FROM IT. If you are too busy and cannot do the job, stop misleading customers, so they can get the job done elsewhere. We did in fact ask for the capping done both sides and TOP, IN JULY, when we placed our order, NOT in SEPT., when you actually ordered the capping. Your information is quite false, and I hope people do not believe your response to my review. Why would I want capping done only on two sides - when spending the money to do a brand new door. By the way, when I had the wonderful, excellent, well corresponding and POLITE capping company complete the job as they said they would, they also tightened all the bolts you neglected to tighten when you installed the garage door. Sadly you’re blaming the customer, and the customer is always right. Maybe you should take into consideration, if you’ve got too much on your plate, be upfront with it. And don’t try to pass the buck and blame the paying customer for your poor services.

1) The extra hardware was back-ordered by our supplier. Rather than delay the install, we installed the door and then went back to install the special hardware.
2) The Customer did not order capping when they purchased the door.
3) Capping for the sides only was ordered on September 9th, and they did not order a complete capping job, just replace the two damaged sides.
4) Like everything in life, you have to wait your turn. Lots of people have ordered capping and did it ahead of this customer.
5) Handling the material on a windy day can be difficult. It was too windy on Tuseday to even consider capping.
6) The customer was told that they would have the work done on the following Thursday.
7) Apparently that was not acceptab;e, and they were not in the mood for any explanation. They cancelled the order, then became abusive on the phone, and our policy is to politely end the call.
8) We had other customers that accepted the delay and their capping is done.
9) we have over 26k customers and do our best to meet the customer's expectations. Occasionally neither our nor the customer's expectations are met. This appears to be one of those instances.

Garage door and openers

I have been using Superior for many years now! Sheila is great she makes shopping for a new garage door so easy! She is very knowledgable about her products! What I loved the most is she has Never tried to upsell me or anyone I have referred to her. I have referred most of my family and friends to her and they are as happy as I am! I don’t hesitate for one moment when I hear someone is looking for a new garage door to give Superior’s phone number to them! Many of neighbours now have her doors as well! If you are at all interested in great products and the Best Service call Superior Garage Doors now - I mean now you won’t be disappointed I promise!

I am a truth seeker, I see bad reviews online and like to contact the company involved to get their side of the story and then post it for them. If you are looking for the truth, or at least the companies side, look no further!

Dear Tammey,

How the conversation went, from what I was told, with your husband (who, by the way, I have been told is a very nice and funny man) went along the lines of “I don’t know how tall the door is” “well normally they are around 7ft, like that door there – does that seem like the correct height” (as your husband stood in front of the door) “yes that seems correct”. As the office administrator has been doing this for over 16 years I can guarantee that she would know what she is talking about and would not intentionally sell an incorrect part nor sell a part that the customer didn’t feel comfortable in purchasing.

With regards to the conversation you had a few days later with the administrator, you were told they could exchange your cable THAT DAY. All that was needed was for an installer to come back to that office later to get the proper cable. At NO TIME were you told it had to be ordered in.

As for the “all sales are final” there is a large sign in the office that clearly states that (I’ve actually seen it).

Now as for you swearing at the office administrator, calling her names, and making her feel uncomfortable when she was trying to explain the company policies and what could be done to work with you is NOT acceptable. At Superior they try to work with their customers when there is an unforeseen issue. It is unfortunate when the customers don’t feel the need to hold themselves to the same level of professionalism and try to bully the staff, either at this business or any other business.

Honest Company

Thank you very much for your assistance as well as your help in letting me know that, for a handyman like me, this was a job that could be done. You could have easily sold me your services and never told me how to do it, or what the problem really was, and I would have been no wiser about it. However, you were enough of an honest person to let me know what I could do without incurring any unnecessary expense and I actually managed to do it.

I appreciated your assistance very much and rest-assured that I will keep you in mind both for my own future requirements as they arise as well as to recommend you to my friends.

Replacement cable for Door

As one reviewer stated, do your homework on this company. The receiptionst is the rudest I have ever encountered in retail. Constantly rolling her eyes and shrugging. Great professional body language.
The cable snapped on our oversized (8' high) garage door. My husband went and bought the replacement. She sold my 6'-3" tall husband a cable for a 7' high door. I took it back, they had nothing in stock for 8' high doors. Said she could order something in.We required this part ASAP as we are closing on our home, thus we have no time to wait. She refused to refund me, said "all sales are final". Well she failed to tell my husband that when he purchased the short cable, nor is it printed anywhere on our receipt.
She even claims that my husband (6'-3" tall) told her the door was 7' high. I guess all this time, he still doesn't know his height. Since he can reach the top of a 7' door but with an 8', he needs a ladder.
Save yourself frustration and deal with a more professional company.

Garage door service

Always courteous and friendly - when you can get them to show up. They did a nice job installing my two doors, however for later service calls they never arrive at the time you agree upon. When I say I'm working all day and they agree to come in the afternoon, they arrive in the morning(neighbour informed me). If you're not there, oh well. Sometimes they didn't even show up on the day they agreed to come. It shouldn't be too difficult to call clients and let them know about unforseen schedule changes, but they never do.
