Howard's Second Generation Furniture Restoration

Outstanding experience, highly recommend, ten out of ten, five stars. These guys are awesome Completely exceeded expectations. And the patience of a saint. I had second and third generation pieces restored, painted, and stained. Will follow-up with pictures at a later date. Not only was the quality and craftmanship world-class but the level of care and service along the way made the entire experience very special. They even made sure my dads dresser was returned in time for Fathers Day after his recent passing. Worth every penny.

We had an old trunk that needed refinishing. We provided our stain and hardware for the piece to flow with the current furniture. We gave them a $400 deposit, resulting in poor quality, fabricated work, and hours. They tried to charge us over $1000 for minimal work. Unprofessional and dishonest service; I would not recommend this business to anyone. They still have our chest and deposit!

I also see that the company replied with statements that are not true. Unfortunately, I can't reply to it directly; however, if I could, I would prove how devious and dishonest they are. The chest came from an older woman who was moving to a new home, not the side of the road. She took good care of her belongings. I also have pictures of what the chest looked like before, and what they described is false. I also have the receipt and there is no breakdown of the work. It proves my point that this company cannot be trusted.

Over the last 12 months, Umar and his team have stained and painted about 10 items for us including tables, writers bureau, display cabinets, dressers, and a bed and we are absolutely delighted with the quality of work. They’re friendly and professional an I highly recommend this company.

Umar and his team did an amazing job refinishing our kitchen table. The table looked better than when it was new and the cost was at the bottom end of his estimate. Umar was very accommodating as he stored our table during our renovation and returned it as soon as we asked. When Umar returned the table we asked him if he could repair a dining room credenza drawer which kept falling of the slides and he did so and did not want any payment for his work. Umar is the ultimate professional and we highly recommend him.

I contacted Umar for an estimate to refinish my rustic coffee table that got damaged from my d-i-y. I finally got it back today and was very happy with the new finish. Amazing job. I love the new finish! Thanks Umar! You are a true professional!

Brought in a damaged chair and a badly functioning table. Howard’s was able to repai both for less than $100. Couldn’t be happier with the workmanship and the professional manner which staff provided. Will not hesitate to return and trust my furniture repair to these folks.

Contacted May 29th table delivered Aug 28th. The table was two tone brown and the first delivery they brought the leaf stained black, which was unacceptable. We had asked in an email to use the leaf for a colour match- instructions ignored. Round two, table was to be delivered on Aug. 27th apparently there was a mark in the table top, therefore delayed until the 28th. When delivered the marks were still visible and the finish was layered on so heavy it was and is rippled. On the leaf the the two inch edge had runs of finish and parts not done at all. Overall we are very disappointed with quality of work, and attention to detail.
We kept the table and took this as a life lesson and would not
recommend this company to anyone.

My mother in law had a coffee table that was over 30 years old and in rough shape. We took it Howard's and him and the apprentice worked on it and it came back beautiful like the first day it was bought. My mother in law was amazed to see the table come back to life in the rich cherry mahogany color it was made in. The work was outstanding and really worth waiting for!

We contacted Rick to get an estimate of stripping the old white finish off of my old wood baby dresser (1968) and update it to a more modern look and match our son's current bedroom furniture.

We gave Rick one of the drawers to see how easy it would be to remove the current finish, and then Rick even suggested that we cold do the staining ourselves. However, the price from Rick was excellent and we asked them to do the whole project (strip, sand, and stain to match).

The final product is amazing. It's hard to believe the transformation from old to new. Our son loves his "new" dresser, and we love the fact that it was "Daddy's" before.
