I purchased a brad new home from Brookfield approximately 2 years and 4
Months ago. My furnace after this short period of time originally installed by Arpi's had the heat exchanger go. After having no idea what this is I read more on the Internet and this appears to be a very uncommon part to break under 10 years let alone 2. I called Arpis had a technician come out charged 170 bucks to suck water out of the lines and told me the heat exchange needs replacing. After talking to the company the replacement labour (as the part is under warranty) is going to be 1400 dollars. After questioning why this part would break because it comes down to two reasons a) Arpis installed it incorrectly or b) Arpis installs low quality parts that can last more then 2 years. The individually merely shrugged and said sometimes these parts break. I am out raged that buying a brand new house 2 years later the furnace breaks and is costing my 1400 dollars. I can't believe a company that did the install wouldn't stand behind their product and replace it 100%. This goes to show the quality of parts they install and how well they support their product. I have multiple rental properties and I will never use Arpis based on my experience. If you purchase from them be prepared to spend another 1400
Dollars two years down the road.
