I had a new garage door installed in my two-car garage, and had a gear-kit replacement done for my old door lifter. I also asked for a new transmitter and remote.
The work that Parsons did was fine. The door works well and was installed well. But the installation took over a month and a half. First they installed the door, but it wasn't quite done. Then it took them a week to come back to finish the door installation. Then it was another couple of weeks before they changed out the gear kit, so in the meantime we had to open and close the door by hand. When they came to do the gear kit, the installer knew nothing about the request for a transmitter/remote. Finally, six weeks after the initial install, I received an email saying that my lifter was too old simply to have a new remote, but they could install a new receiver on the unit and program a new remote for that. This is what I initially thought I needed, but it took them six weeks to figure that out. And in the meantime, I got a replacement remote from Home Depot for my brand of lifter, and it works fine.
So: good quality service, but they need to fix their follow through.
