Concrete Trimmings

I am very disappointed with Nelio and his team. They did my patio however the borders were sealed without cleaning it and a few hours before it started to rain. As you can see by the pictures, it looks pretty ugly. I met with Nelio and expected him to take responsibility for the bad job however he just said- it is what it is. He said that he will send someone however no one showed up. this is the second job that trimming did on my house and I didn't expect to be treated that way. I do hope that this review will end up in a call and an offer to fix this matter.

I wish I had read these reviews before I hired this company. Scheduling was a challenge which should have been the first sign to call another contractor. Front walkway has cracked and chunks of concrete are breaking away. I called to inquire about getting it fixed. I lost count at how many messages I left. Finally got a call back. I was told that someone came by to look at it which was completely untrue. Offered no help. I asked for a quote to fix it. She said someone would call me back. Never heard from them again. They do not appreciate your business or stand behind their workmanship.

These guys did a fabulous job on our driveway and back patio. They were quick and finished within a weekend. My garden did suffer a bit of damage but they really did everything they could to avoid it. Thanks to Nelio for the quote and his patience in my choices. Great job guys!

I hired Concrete Trimmings a few years ago for exposed aggregate cement driveway and entrance walkway. After 12 months a large crack formed on the entrance walkway. I contacted Croncrete Trimmings who offered a guarantee against cracks. I spoke to the owners wife who handled customer service, all I received were excuses and false promises to inspect the crack and resolve the issue. I am reminded daily of their poor service when I leave and enter my house.

Had ConcreteTrimmings do a patio and a pad for a shed. Price was good. They weren't the cheapest but not the most expensive, in the middle of the four estimates we had done. They had some hard workers and were receptive to a couple changes we had with the design. All in all a great experience. Would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Fernando and his crew were great to work with. We had a driveway, front walkway, and the porch and steps done. Workers were very respectful and worked very hard. The exposed aggregate looks great. Very pleased.

Had Nelio from Concrete Trimmings do our front walkway, side of the house and a patio in the backyard. Nelio was punctual and his men did a fantastic job. The came in one day and were done the next. They even took away some old interlock I had at the side of the house. The exposed aggregate looks great, im very happy Nelio suggested it.

Same as others. Used them few years ago. Scheduling was a nightmare. Told me if any issues after to call him and it will be resolved. Workers had no regard for garden. Destroyed bushes and landscape lights. After cracks developed within the first year trying to get a response was ridiculous. Would not call me back to meet with me despite leaving a ridiculous amount of voice mails. And then was told by receptionist nothing could be done because that's what concrete does despite being told before the job there would be no cracks. Extremely poor customer service. Does not stand behind his work. Would not ever recommend.

Don't bother with this company. Did an okay job on our patio in Oakville except for a lot of staining on the stairs, but scheduling is a nightmare. Tried to use them again this year but 6 weeks of delays went by so we are now looking at another company who can keep to their schedule.

Fernando, owner of Concrete Trimmings quoted on replacing our front concrete porch on March 11, 2014. The crew of around 8 showed up & started dismantling the old front porch end of May. A few of the crew were careful but most couldn't of cared less & showed no respect for our property. Some of our plants were killed & our front lawn suffered burn marks all over. A worker showed up the next day to clean up & seal the porch. He proceeded to blast a high pressure washer at our house, window & front door from a foot away. Our front porch has a cold storage below it so all the dirty water leaked into the finished part of the basement which lead to a soaked dirty carpet. He sprayed the sealant all over the place with no regard. Our siding, water hose, electrical outlet, power cord for our Travel Trailer, plants & garden rocks were covered in sealant. On the new porch, there were sections missed altogether and an uneven overspray of about a foot on our aggregate walkway. Neilio showed up Monday to collect payment & said they would return by the end of the day or tomorrow to clean it up & seal our walkway & stairs so it would all blend in. No one showed up to complete the job. A few days later we realized the seal was broken on our large front window by the front door. It now has a halo around it. The pressure from the power washer broke the seal. Neilio said to get a quote from a window company & he will talk to Fernando. It took repeated daily calls to Neilio`s cell phone before he finally told me Fernando won`t cover the cost to replace the window. We called the office & left a message for Fernando but he didn't call back. It is now July 5 and we have never seen nor heard from this company again & the sealant was not completed or cleaned up. To top it all off, It took me hours to scrape the concrete chunks off of my bedroom windows. Very disappointed in this company & will never recommend or use their services again. The owners son mentioned Fernando's brother owns another company. Not sure if they do better, honest work.
