Brenda, we are sorry to hear you are unhappy. With respect to your carpet the issue you have a concern with would be related to the manufacturing of the carpet. As per your review There has been a manufacturers site inspection, and a sample sent for testing to the Shaw / Tuftex, the manufacturer. Their findings which have been shared with you are:
"Based on the information provided by the inspection report there is no warranty defect in the quality or workmanship of the installed product. The shared link of the inspection report has been attached for your convenience and review. A complete copy of the product warranties and Care and Maintenance can be obtained by contacting the Shaw Information Center at 1-800-441-7429 or by visiting our website at www.shawfloors.com.
A sample was received and tested for wear. It passed wear testing with a grade of 4.3.
We appreciate the opportunity to review and respond to your concerns."
If you contact the phone number above Shaw Industries may be able to reopen or review the claim.
Please reach out to myself, or the Ryan the salesperson to discuss the extra product you have on hand.
Regards,
Colin
Very happy with floors and service recieved
Engineered Hardwood Delamination
Mr Vanderstar, The manufacturer visited the site in the Kelowna area to assess your concerns. As per their report, the issues stem from installation and enviromental concerns. You provided your own installer for this installation, it is the responsibility of the installer to guage whether the conditons at the time are suitable to install the flooring as per the manufacturer's specifications. Also over the life of the product there are reasonble humidity levels that a home requires to ensure that the product will perform as it should. Warranties, care, maintenence, and installation documents were provided to you prior to installation that cover these types of concerns.
I'm unsure how you feel neither CDL or the manufacturer are not standing behind this product, as we have done everything we can to address your concerns. There is responsibility for the end user to ensure that the installation (as you subcontacted your own hardwood installers), and enviroment is within the parameters of the specifications. Again, as I suggested in a previous conversation if you are unhappy with anything myself or the manufacturer have told you, contact the local floor covering associaton or the NWFA (National Wood Floor Association).
Regards,
Colin Haugrud
