I discontinued the Weedman's service when the pesticide ban went into place quite a few year's ago. In the meantime, I attempted to do the lawn myself. Unfortunately, the weeds went crazy and by the end of the summer, we had little green grass...much of the grass was brown. We suspected we had a chinch bug problem but didn't quite know what to do. I decided to give Weedman another try with their newer products. It's now the end of September and I really can't believe how far things have come along. I wasn't expecting a miracle, but honestly, my expectations have been exceeded. My lawn is all green with the exception of a few small spots that I've had to reseed as the chinch bugs started to do their damage, but most of the lawn actually bounced back after Weedman applied their arctic kelp summer chinch bug treatment. I still had some weeds growing back over the summer and into September, but they've just sprayed for the weeds now and they are dying off andd disappearing. I'm much more impressed than I expected, and I am confident now that I've overseeded the lawn this fall that next spring my lawn will be in amazing shape.
I do have a couple of service issues to mention to Weedman that I hope they will address, e.g. calling the day before they come as they have forgotton on most occasions and a couple of other minor things but the quality of their product has made up for their small service downfalls.
UPDATE: Within 24 hours of dropping my pre-payment for 2014 along with letter with customer service issues in the mailbox, Steve Stronge, customer service manager, left a message on my answering machine addressing each issue and how it was to be handled. I am a stickler for good customer service and I have to say that I was very impressed with the speedy response and I am hopeful the issues will be resolved next year. I'll keep you posted in 2014!
