Lawn Fertilizer and Weed Control
I have used Weed Man for a number of years but over the past 3 years, this company has become a farce. They stand behind the "continuous service" caption that is only there to help them bill clients. I too cancelled the service at end of last year but they came in again this year to apply fertilizer and invoiced me. After much haggling, i paid them half of the invoice and they said they would apply a free weed control/fertilizer and I can then cancel the whole contract. Well, they issued the invoice again for a service that was supposed to be free! I refused to pay and told them to take me to court. Now, they are hassling me with robo-calls. My wife got irritated and told me to pay and get rid of them. I have paid them today to get rid of the headache but want others to be aware of the dishonesty of Weed Man.

- Company Response
I am sorry that you feel this way as you have been a long time customer with Weed Man. The few phone calls into our office that you have made over the last 3 years, none of these above issues were ever brought to our attention. We have done Continuous Service on your property for 4 years and every year you have prepaid after the services started. The first contact we had regarding your 2013 service program was on May 21 2013 and that was to cancel your program which we did as per your request. At no time prior to this was there every any contact with our office by email, phone or fax to cancel your account so we continued like we always have. To suggest that we have done anything dishonest with your account could not be farther from the truth. We continuously treated your lawn which we have done for 4 years and because of this you were given priority pricing and services for many years. After speaking to Brian one of my supervisors on June 12th 2013 he offered to split the fertilizer price and to continue with the program for the season and he would also give you your first weed control service at no charge. Brian emailed you the new contract that day itemizing each service and its cost for the rest of the season; he also removed you from continuous service forever. As you stated above that you could cancel after the free application was done but again we did not receive a call. The free weed control was completed on June 20 and the next scheduled services were completed on July 4th and that service had a charge to it. We received a call again to cancel the services which we did on July 5th 2013. If there is anything else I can do please do not hesitate in contacting me at 416-269-8333.
