1400 square feet red oak English Toffee

After months of shopping around for hardwood floors, we finally settled on Three Towers. We came across their web page and later learned they did one of our neighbors floors, who highly recommended them. We were impressed with their showroom manager Quasie. He was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. He started working for Three Towers as an installer and now manages the showroom, and it was really refreshing to see a sales person who actually knew what he was talking about, as most of the people I spoke to were more interested in pushing products they had in stock, or had absolutely know clue what they were selling. Quasie was a tremendous help in answering our questions and teaching us about the different options available. We purchased red oak English Toffee as it closely matched our staircase and trim, and we felt that putting a different color would mean an added expense of several thousands of dollars of sanding and refinishing the stairs, doors and trim. The floor was installed about 2 weeks later and the team did a fantastic job. The one complaint I have, and it's not really a complaint as much as it is constructive criticism is that the delivery was delayed. Initially it was suppose to be delivered on Friday and then the driver said Monday morning first thing, which ended up being late Monday afternoon. Things happen, and I have to admit I was very upset as I had to book an extra day off work, but now that the job is done I realize this is relatively minor considering how happy I am with the final outcome, the quality of the product and the value I received for my money. I am very happy with the final results and I will definitely be going back to them next year to do the flooring in my cottage.

hi Rocco, thanks very much for the kind words and for bringing the delivery issue to our attention. Delivery is by far our biggest challenge as our business keeps growing. At times we get a bit overwhelmed with orders, and as nice as it is to have the business, I have to admit we under estimated the importance of delivery. At times our office is like a dispatch office! Having said that we've just contracted a new delivery service, which means we now have 4 trucks on contract to deliver for us instead of only 1. This will help for sure, but even then deliveries are always an adventure: the trucks get delayed at the factory, traffic, customers aren't home, builders leave the job site at 4 p.m, the driveway is blocked with a garbage bin, etc. And one delay creates 5 or 6 more. Most deliveries are no problem, but we always get 1 or 2 a week that get pushed back or delayed and its something that we are aware of and are really working hard to fix.

1100 sq ft Wenge Laminate Flooring

I visited Three Towers showroom on a Saturday afternoon and was full of customers. Their showroom is not on a major road like most retailers, but rather in an older industrial location just north of the 401 and Kipling. They explained to me that this is one of the reasons they are able to keep their prices low, as they own their own warehouse and invest their money on inventory rather than pay high retail rent like their competitors. Obviously if tney were located in Yorkville they'd have to pass on the cost of overhead..Myself as a consumer couldn't care less where they are located as long as the price and the quality is good and as I was waiting I noticed that other people were coming from Niagara Falls & Kitchener. Inside their showroom is nicely laid out with a large selection to choose from, and they make a big deal of pointing out that all their products are made in Canada.

After trying to decide between engineered and laminate for my condo I went with the 3T Signature Wenge 12 mm laminate. At $1.25/sq ft the price was just too good to pass up and the it looks just like wood! Their colors are very contemporary and trendy and I could spend quadruple that amount in engineered and not have something this nice. I went to 5 other places and they all seemed to carry the same stuff at much higher prices than Three Towers.

They delivered it the following Monday and I had them install it near the end of the week. My installation team was led by Nam, who aside from being a great installer is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. They removed the old carpet and installed the laminate on the same day. I am thrilled with the floor as well as with the money I saved. I recommend Three Towers not just for their pricing, but even more for their great selection and quality.

Thanks Dmitri. The location of our showroom indeed has a lot to do with us being able to offer lower pricing. Originally it was intended to be just our warehouse when we first started, but the market has told us that location isn't as important as price and quality. Our location is central and easy to get to but it's definitely not Yorkville! I'm happy you enjoy the floor.

Whole house hard-wood floor & installation

I visited many hard-wood floor places for my newly bought house in year 2009 until I met John at Three Towers Flooring. John helped in understanding different qualities of hard-wood floor, assessed my personal tastes and then helped me in choosing hard-wood floor.
John suggested me get floor installation done by their company and after seeing some of their installations, I agreed. Three Tower's installers were very professional and finished job on time and with a fine finish. Now it has been two years since hard-wood floor was installed at my place, a few unknown people still ask me if I have just moved in my house.
I certify that they offer best prices, exceptional customer-service and professional installation service. I thank John & Three Towers flooring for their assistance. I continue to refer them to my friends.

1000 sq.ft of 4" wide 3/4" hardwood floor including labour for removal of old floor, installing soundproofing and installing new flooring.

I am extremely happy with the results of replacing wood flooring in my house. This was my the second job from this company. The installers were perfect even if it included an un-usual sound proofing option requested and specified by the owner. I recommend their sevices to anyone as far as cost, quality of wood and quality of labour is concerned. This assessment is based on my experience with numerous cases of installing new and replacing old hardwood flors since 1965.

Thank you very much Otto. The sound proofing wasn't that complicated, and you are very experienced in construction so it's always nice to work for people that understand the trades.

Three Towers Flooring gave us a great price on our oak floors. We had them do the whole job including the carpet removal, installation and baseboards. I wanted the floor to match my stairs so I went crazy trying to find a color to match my stairs. As soon as I went to Three Towers they suggested that I remove one of the spindels and they matched the floor to the spindel. Also the nosing was a bit lower than the new floor so they raised the nosing in order to make the height match. The installers were very professional and the new floor looks very good.

After visiting Three Towers web page I stopped by their showroom while I was visiting friends in Toronto to see what they had to offer. I really wanted something handscraped, and they explained that they out source their handscraping to an Amish mill near Kitchener, and that it is an authentic handscrape, whereas most handscrape products are done on a machine with a repetitive pattern. They promised me something unique and the floor is truly one of a kind. I wouldn't think of buying my next floor anywhere else.

Good to hear from you Charles. We really take pride in our hand scraped, it's authentic and done by an Amish family in south west Ontario. The family that is doing the hand scraping for us was working for another floor brand before they got bought out and shifted their production to China. Honestly it feels good to know that we are actually helping the local economy in Ontario.

Wood flooring Installation

My experience with Three towers was a disaster. Right from the beginning when i wanted to give John a sample of the floor i wanted to match which they didn't to the very end with the installation. i was promised a 2 week delivery time which they were late. I had to personally call the delivery company to make arrangements for the delivery. The installers were very careless making a mess and not taking care to limit the dust in the house. the installers damaged my walls and baseboard and made no effort to clean or fix the problems telling me I could easily fix the damages. i would strongly recommend not using Three Towers for your flooring needs.

Company Response

Phil, lets be fair, the delivery was delayed only because of your lack of co-operation. You work in Scarborough but your house is in Brampton, and nobody was home to accept delivery. You asked us to call you exactly when the driver was picking up the material so that you could leave Scarborough and drive to your house without missing work, and we gave you the drivers number to contact him directly. On top of that you argued with the driver because he would not deliver on the second floor, and you knew that deliveries are on main floor only. Please keep in mind that we do about 10 deliveries a day spanning from Hamilton to Oshawa, and we need someone to be at the home in order to deliver. I realize it's difficult for someone to miss work, but how else is the delivery to take place?

Your floor was installed about 3 weeks to the day you ordered it, the install was scheduled around the same time you ordered the material and we installed it on schedule, it would have been delivered sooner if someone was home to accept delivery as we can't just leave the flooring in your driveway.

Regarding the color you and I both know that Brazilian Cherry/ jatoba darkens with age as it oxidizes. The sample of jatoba that you have might be a year or 2 old and is fully oxidized and there for much darker than the wood as it first comes out of the box. So the wood you have will definitely get darker with time. The stain is the exact same as the sample, and was finished in the same factory as your sample. The difference is the your wood is not yet oxidized and your sample is. This is a complaint that we get a couple of times a year, when the jatoba sample that the customer has is darker than the new wood arriving, and that is because the new wood hasn't oxidized to the extent of the old one. In our showroom we go to a great extent to show old jatoba samples and new ones, so that people will see that jatoba gets darker as it ages. This is the nature of the wood, it darkens as it ages.

Finally installing hardwood is going to be a bit dusty no matter who does it. This is a common complaint and unfortunately it comes with the territory. If we install on main floor we cut outside. On the second floor we choose one room to cut(usually the smallest bedroom) unless you have a balcony on second floor. In rare occasions when people have asthma or some kind of ilness, we will make an exception but we charge more money and it is going to take nearly twice as long to do the job. The installer said that they swept and vaccumed the floor before they left your home Phil. Not many installers do that.

Finally we don't ask for payment until the job is done. This is your best guarantee that you will be satisfied. So its a Monday morning and your job was complete this past Friday, we haven't recieved a phone call or email or anything from you and you paid the installer directly on Friday night when the job was complete, I just phoned the installer and he said the damage you claim was in the closet and that you were happy and paid him in full at the end of the job.

If there is a problem we will fix it, and if Tony knicked your walls during the install(it happens to the best of us)you shouldn't have paid him or at least held back $100 or $150 until we come back to fix it. Please understand we install between 10,000 to 15,000 square feet a week, no one is perfect and we do not expect to be paid unless you are happy with the job, and you paid without us even asking!

We put safeguards in place to protect the customer for situations just like yours, but if you don't call us how can we help you or even know there is an issue?. We can't please everyone but its hard to please if you don't say anything to us. The exact same thing could have happened to 100 other customers and 99 out of 100 would give us a 9 or a 10. I will contact you shortly to discuss, as I'd like to see the job in person.
